Le Geai des chênes (Garrulus glandarius) est un grand passereau de la famille des corvidés. C’est un joli oiseau au plumage paré de couleurs vives plutôt discret et timide. Le Geai des chênes est très répandu en France. Très friand de glands de chênes qu’il stocke abondamment en automne, le Geai des chênes contribue à favoriser l’expansion de cet arbre grâce aux très nombreux glands cachés qu’il ne mange pas et qui finissent par germer et donner de nouvelles pousses.
The Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius) is a large passerine of the family Corvidae. It is a pretty bird with plumage dressed in bright colors rather discreet and timid. The Eurasian Jay is widespread in France. Very fond of acorns of oaks which it stores abundantly in autumn, the Jay of the oaks contributes to promote the expansion of this tree thanks to the numerous hidden acorns which it does not eat and which finally germinate and give new shoots.
Elle marchait d’un pas timide, presque invisible parmi la foule … un instant suspendu, un sourire échangé, et je lui ai proposé de poser pour moi !
Elle a hésité, les yeux fuyants comme si elle demandait la permission au vent. Pourtant, elle a accepté, affrontant sa pudeur comme on affronte un miroir pour la première fois.
Chaque regard, chaque geste trahissait l’effort de s’affirmer, de dire silencieusement « Me voilà ».
Elle a fait de son mieux, vraiment … et dans ce mieux, il y avait une beauté sincère, fragile, mais vraie !
Comme promis, la photo lui sera envoyée, un simple message pour lui rappeler qu’elle a su oser …
Il faut parfois un peu de chance pour croiser, au détour d’une rue, un moment aussi sincère 🤔

She walked with a quiet, almost invisible step through the crowd … a fleeting instant, a shared smile, and I asked her to pose for me !
She hesitated, her eyes wandering as if asking the wind for permission. Yet she accepted, facing her shyness like one faces a mirror for the first time.
Every glance, every movement betrayed her effort to assert herself, to silently say, “Here I am.”
She gave her best … and within that effort was a beauty, sincere and fragile, yet true.

Ambalavao (Madagascar) - Je me rendais aux marché aux zébus, lorsque ces deux jeunes garçons, fils de commerçants, croisés à proximité de on hôtel, ont voulu que je les photographie. Comme souvent à Madagascar -et ailleurs-, ils ont immédiatement pris la pose, mais celui de droite a fait son timide et n’a plus osé regarder l’appareil photo.

Ambalavao (Madagascar) - I was going to the zebu market, when these two young boys, sons of traders, met near my hotel, wanted me to photograph them. They immediately posed, but the one on the right acted shy and didn't dare look at the camera anymore.
