A old torsion pendulum clock, or torsion clock (also known as 400-day or anniversary clock). Wind-up the large spring, and the pendulum balls will spin for over a year. This one is around 100 years old. Photographed on our kitchen (tiled) floor by a F 100/2.8 Macro

Time Warp is a fantasy abstract image comprising of a clock face superimposed over a starry night scene.
Encaustic collage on Birch panel.
Part of a recent exhibition where artists were required to respond to an image sent to them.
The image I received was a sculpture by fellow artist John Hall called Brother Sun Sister Moon.
It inspired this response from me involving a local landmark - The Copt Hill - ancient trees known locally as the Seven Sisters, growing over an mesolithic site. The moon, its cycles, the tides skies... kinda evolved. You get the idea.
It measures 60 x 60cms
The trees and the limpets are embedded photographic images, the keys are real, and the barnacles. clouds and surface are pigmented beeswax.
It's a beautiful material to work with.

Time travelling in my Tardis to a time before computers and cell phones, and digital photography. This is a room in the baker's house in the Burnaby Heritage Village. It's kind of scary when you visit a museum and you remember everything in the exhibits.
CSX Q234 knocks down Automatic 97 on the CSX River Subdivision, which are some of the last New York Central signals along the line. The signals are soon to be replaced due to PTC signal upgrades, such upgrades which can already been seen here. "Time's arrow neither stands still nor reverses. It merely marches forward."

1989 First time I was tied en femme-first time I allowed someone else to see me as my "alter ego", too. Wish she had not messed w/ the lens as the rest were fuzzy...some were better than this one. Not too bad for an early pic.

I found this huge elephant while traveling the endless roads of the Serengeti. There was a huge herd strolling around without a care in the world. It was a traffic jam that I was happy to be apart of!
