Ragged Top, a volcanic plug west of Tucson Arizona. Climbing it is relatively easy, but the two feasible routes are not visible from here. Wolcott Peak on the left. Once hikers feel comfortable going off-trail in the desert, the options are wide open. As I recall, on this occasion we strolled up the east side of Wolcott (right side as seen here) and got a closer look at Ragged Top.

One of my favourite locations to shoot in Western Australia, Wyadup rocks always has lots of interesting compositions to explore. Sunrise didn't provide any colour but the fast moving clouds drifting north lent themselves to some long exposure work.

It's getting to be that time here in Minnesota , when a lot of of waterfowl visit lakes and ponds to rest and fatten up for their long migratory journey.

And we have a lot of Canada geese in the park. They're migrating south at the moment and we do hear them when they fly over the house occasionally. It's kind of come to symbolize the mournful sound of winter's ushering in to me. Kind of bittersweet sound.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.

I think I just found the secret meeting place of time travelers. This is not a new photo, but still fun considering Back to the Future is now 30 years old. Enjoy.

This is a "time slice" photo from a timelapse I shot back in December of 2013. I started on the right side of the frame and worked my way left, cutting out a 5 pixel wide slice from each frame of the timelapse. I used 1000 photos. from the timelapse. There's a 1.5 hour difference between the first and last slice. (the very left and right sides of the photo) The reason I did it right to left is because that's the way the clouds were moving, which makes for a smoother, stretched out look to the clouds. I'm still hoping to find a way to automate this process, because doing it "by hand" takes forever. Either way, I think this technique has potential to create some amazing images, so I'll try it at least a few more times. I still want to do one with a timelapse that transitions from day to night, and I'm hoping to get some decent weather to shoot the footage soon.
