Went to Diss today.
It was the first time we had been there, it is a fabulous little place, clean and friendly.
There is a lovely lake right in the town and a good little cafe in the Diss bookshop, where you can sit and enjoy a good refreshing cup of tea whilst taking in a view of the lake.
Worth a visit.
A small community exits on the shingle area almost adjacent to the nuclear power station. Mostly wooden "Cottages" built before the war around old Railway carriages when no planning permission was needed. The shingle area is largest in Europe & despite being officially classified as a "Desert" it contains an extensive list of rare plants & insects. most of the cottages have a few plants & shrubs tolerant of salt spray & wind.

The 2010 Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Tidy Schools in the Community Awards took place in County Hall, Dún Laoghaire today, where the much-coveted award for Tidy School of the Year 2010 went to Mount Anville Primary School, Stillorgan.
The school’s hard work was clearly illustrated by the pride taken in the maintenance of the school grounds and their proactive approach to environmental issues affecting their school and the environment around them. Particular attention was given to the local wildlife with the children growing nectar and wildflower meadows, maintaining a native tree corridor and providing special homes for bees and hedgehogs.

The Tidy Man has always been played with by designers, but i think this one should be adopted by all the drinks companies whos core target audience is teenagers.
