Obese person's lower leg. X-ray of the leg of a 23 year old patient who weighs 175 kilograms. At top centre is the femur (thigh bone), at centre is the tibia (shin bone), with the smaller fibula to its left. The ankle is at bottom centre. Folds of fat and skin are seen around the bone. The knee (upper centre) appears damaged; the space between the femur and tibia should be even on both sides. Obesity can damage joints due to the extra pressure put on them, often leading to osteoarthritis.

Sauropod dinosaurs were the largest terrestrial animals ever. They all have the same basic body plan: large body with four walking legs, very long neck & tail, and a small head relative to body size. Sauropods were herbivores, and are often perceived as holding their heads & necks up high to reach vegetation normally out of reach to other organisms. Modern reconstructions of many sauropod species depict them with heads and necks held close to the horizontal, or at low angles above the horizontal.

After digging up some bones I decided to create something marginally creepy.

White tabs are usually flute family. Red tabs reed pipes. Yellow are strings. This is a unique method to identify families of sound on theatre pipe organs. Rarely will you see these colors on a church organ.

I was skiing down a black and fell on ice... My right ski did not detach from the boot and as I rolled down the mountain, my tibia and fibula fractured since the lower part of my leg was staying in place while my upper body was rolling.

Both bones were compound (exposed outside the skin) fracture.

I was taken down the mountain by ski patrol and ambulanced to Vail Hospital.

Arsenal footballer (English Premier League) Aaron Ramsey sustained fractures to the tibia and fibula in his right leg in yesterday's Premier League match at Stoke and will miss the rest of the season. As I am a Gooner fan for 23 years, I was shocked to see Aaron was tackled by Stoke player but I didn't blame that Stoke player because he went for the ball. Aaron is young but an amazing player.. His squad number is 16, so I clocked 1.30pm.

I really wish him a speedy recovery.

Photographed, appropriately at Great Sand Dunes National Park. Per BugGuide, this taxon Sand areas, mostly on moderately stable dunes in grassland and open woodland, from western New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming westward into Idaho northern Arizona, and Nevada. It is found scattered through most of Utah. It may be in southeastern Oregon. The nominate subspecies occurs in similar habitat in the prairies east of the Rockies with a contact zone in WY, where the two interbreed.
