Third surgery for broken leg. Surgery included: removal and replacement of all previous hardware, trimmed-down bone that was growing sideways, removed some of femur bone and placed it between broken leg bones.

Pictures of my broken leg and healing progression from a ski accident in Beaver Creek, CO.

I was skiing down a black and fell on ice... My right ski did not detach from the boot and as I rolled down the mountain, my tibia and fibula fractured since the lower part of my leg was staying in place while my upper body was rolling.

Both bones were compound (exposed outside the skin) fracture.

I was taken down the mountain by ski patrol and ambulanced to Vail Hospital.

We asked if there was any way to avoid surgery......Surgeon laughed and said "if you were 95 and never wanted to walk again I would consider leaving it alone".

The apical spine is only about 1.5 times as long as the apical tooth (twice as long in panzeri).

Getting the splint taken off.

But I had no idea how bad my fractured leg was - can not walk on it yet but all healing well and no pain. Physical therapy exercises to do now.

Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel

Wake up in the morning with a head like ‘what ya done?’

This used to be the life but I don’t need another one.

You like cutting up and carrying on you wear them gowns.

So how come I feel so lonely when you’re up getting down?

So I'll play along when I hear that special song

I’m gonna be the one who gets it right.

You better move when you’re swayin' 'round the room

Looks like magic’s only yours tonight

But I don’t feel like dancing

When the old Joanna plays

My heart could take a chance

But my two feet can’t find a way

You'd think that I could muster up a little soft shoe, gentle sway

But I don’t feel like dancin’

No sir, no dancin’ today

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Even if i find nothin' better to do

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Why'd you 'break it down' when I'm not in the mood

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

I'd rather be home with the one in the bed till dawn, with you,

Cities come and cities go just like the old empires

When all you do is change your clothes and call that versatile.

You got so many colours it'd make a blind man so confused.

Then why can’t I keep up when you’re the only thing I'd lose?

So I’ll just pretend that I know which way to bend

I’m gonna tell the whole world that you’re mine.

Just please understand, when I see you clap your hands

If you stick around I’m sure that I'll be fine.

But I don’t feel like dancin’

When the old Joanna plays

My heart could take a chance

But my two feet can’t find a way

You think that I could muster up a little soft shoe gentle sway

But I don’t feel like dancin’

No sir, no dancin’ today.

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Even if i find nothin' better to do

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Why'd you 'break it down' when I'm not in the mood

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Rather be home with the one in the bed til dawn, with you oo oo

You can’t make me dance around.

But your two-step makes my chest pound.

Just lay me down as you float away into the shimmer light.

But I don’t feel like dancin’

When the old Joanna plays

My heart could take a chance

But my two feet can’t find a way

You'd think that I could muster up a little soft shoe, gentle sway

But I don’t feel like dancin’

No sir, no dancin’ today.

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Even if i find nothin' better to do

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Why'd you 'break it down' when I'm not in the mood

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Rather be home with the one in the bed til dawn, with you.

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Even if i find nothin' else to do

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Why'd you 'break it down' when I'm not in the mood

Don’t feel like dancin’, dancin’

Rather be home with the one in the bed til dawn, with you.

Playas con agua tibia.... (Vamos)

Various view of the bruises on my leg as I wait for surgery. And, yeah, it was pretty much as painful as it looks.

The pollen basket or corbicula is part of the tibia on the hind legs of the four related lineages of apid bees that used to compose the family Apidae: the honey bees, bumblebees, stingless bees, and orchid bees. The corbicula ("little basket") is a polished cavity surrounded by a fringe of hairs, into which the pollen is placed; most other bees possess a structure called the scopa, which is similar in function, but is a dense mass of branched hairs into which pollen is pressed, with pollen grains held in place in the narrow spaces between the hairs. A honey bee moistens the forelegs with a protruding tongue and brushes the pollen that has collected on head, body and forward appendages to the hind legs. The pollen is transferred to the pollen comb on the hind legs and then combed, pressed, compacted, and transferred to the corbicula on the outside surface of the tibia of the hind legs. A single hair functions as a pin that secures the middle of the pollen load. Honey and/or nectar is used to moisten the dry pollen, producing the product known as bee pollen or bee bread. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pollen
