So, for those of you who don't know (which is probably everybody except for Ace and Kody atm), this was my original account! It was like what, four years ago? Give or take. I was twelve when this bad boy started up. So weird to see how crappy memes, mediocre customs, and really bad apps for All New 98 and MUW (if you don't know what those are, you missed out on some good stuff) led to where I am now. I can't thank everyone enough who supported me then and those who support me now. I've come a long way, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me.
E255-01 splits 153.6 with an SD40-2 on the point. CSX 8312 being in front of the GEVO was kick ass, add old signals that are close to being replaced and you can't go wrong...
Because certain rules can be broken...

This week we are going back 12 years to 2010, and Dublin Bus AW 4 arriving at journeys end on route 4 at Harristown. Harristown Garage opened in 2005 and is the newest, purpose built bus garage operated by Dublin Bus (since then they have taken upgraded part of the Broadstone site to become a new depot and Go-Ahead Ireland have opened a depot in Ballymount). It is located just south of Dublin Airport beside the Horizon Logistics Park. After it opened, the operation of a number of routes were transferred to the garage and some of them were extended to terminate there.
Two routes designated 4 have operated in Dublin. The first ran between Annamoe Road and Pembroke Road between 1965 and around 1984. The current route started in 2006, initially between Ballymun and St. Vincent's Hospital. In 2007 it was extended to terminate just outside the garage at Harristown, as well as at Blackrock. In 2010, shortly after this picture was taken, it was extended further south to Monkstown Avenue.
AW 4 was one of twenty dual-door AW Class buses to operate in Dublin. They were all delivered in 2000 from Wrights, but these articulated buses were not very successful and were all withdrawn by early-2011. AW 4 was sold on to Ensignbus in the UK.

This week we are going back fourteen years to 2009 and AV 264 in Parnell Square. The bus is operating a service on route 5 to Sandyford Industrial Estate. This route started operating between the City Centre and Kilmacud in 1952. In the mid-1970s its terminus was moved to the junction of Lakelands Avenue / Upper Kilmacud Road. In 1987 it was extended to Sandyford industrial Estate but in 2011 the route was withdrawn from the network. Throughout its entire existence, the route operated via The Rock Road and Ballsbridge.
AV 264 was new to Dublin Bus in 2002. It was withdrawn in 2016 and sold on to another Irish operator. In 2023 it is still in service with Airside Coaches.

Back to a time of landline phones
and CRT computer monitors...seemed like a big deal at the time being able to do the "office girl" thing, LOL.
Here's a pic I took five years ago that I've never shared with anyone. I thought it would be perfect for a "Throwback Thursday" memory!
Last working day of the week as I'm off to Leeds tomorrow for a couple of nights. So to celebrate here's a photo from August last year that I never got around to posting. This was the first time I'd ever met Eliza yet she somehow mostly managed to drag a smile out of me. Hopefully a few more smiles this weekend when we and a few other friends meet up again.
***Decided to merge images from my old Flickr account with my current account. Photos and descriptions from 2007-2009.

This week we are going back thirty-eight years to 1988, and to D 756 on O'Connell Street with a service on route 11 to Clonskea.
Route 11 started running between the Ballymun Road and Clonskea in 1939. In 1967 the northern terminus moved to Griffith Avenue, before it reached Wadelai Park (St. Pappin's Road) in 1983. In the late-1990s it was extended to Kilmacud from Clonskea, and in 2011 its southern terminus became Sandyford Business District. In 2025, under Bus Connects, it was replaced on the northside by new route 19, and its city terminus became Phoenix Park.
D 756 was new to CIE in 1975. It then went on to have colourful career, literally. In 1986 it gained this all-over ad livery for Philips Philishave. In 1987 it spent some time on loan to Bus Eireann in Cork for the ad to be shown there. At the end of 1988 it received a new all-over scheme when it became the Santa bus for the Christmas period. Then in 1989, it received an all-over ad for the Blood Donors. The bus was withdrawn in 1993 by Dublin Bus, and spent its final years in the Dublin Bus two-tone green livery.

Super Train liveried GM 071 powers through the former station at Kilsheelan, between Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel with the RPSI "071 40th Anniversary" Diesel Railtour from Connolly to Connolly via Waterford and Limerick Junction.

Several years ago, a friend was visiting and had a wedding to attend. She brought 2 outfits and this was the one she didn't wear. I only wish I had been able to do a complete transformation.
The crowds tend to come to airshows for the headlining jet teams - Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Red Arrows, etc. For me, the big draw to the Harrisburg show was the recently repainted Viper Demo Team F-16, sporting the 50th anniversary prototype scheme.
The General Dynamics YF-16 first flew in 1974, with the fighter jet entering service in 1978. It's been around as long as I have, and as a kid I played with many a toy F-16 sporting that bicentennial-inspired paint scheme. To see one flying was a fun nugget of nostalgia, and the aerobatics put on by Capt. Taylor “FEMA” Hiester, the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team commander and pilot, was outstanding.

A lukewarm and very quiet morning.
This fella thought I had sardines in my pockets or something.
Back in August, a northbound baretable reposition train, IRNCSR(?), chugs north out of Villa Grove with a solo CSX AC44CW on the point.
These two particular dolls really changed my perception of the Barbie brand. I was happy to see them readily available year after year until Raquelle was nowhere to be found in the US for the "Style" line only to be released elsewhere and to finally come back twice unfortunately with poorly printed eyes. She has yet to appear back with this gorgeous face. Ryan on the other hand had his sculpt completely redone and never returned. Mattel please bring them back... just the way they used to be!
Here's to hoping we get them in collectible sized heads in any upcoming lines whether it be "The Look" or not even in collectible size heads, just back in "Fashionistas." I would get excited just to see them back in some form be it a picture in the Barbiestyle Instagram account. What do you guys think? Which Raquelle and Ryan are your favorite releases?
