I really can't believe how much has changed since this photo was taken. This was taken during H2O weekend of 2010 and it was also the first time that I met Mike Barry. I also met John Quay the day before this. John no longer has this car and Mike Barry's car is totally different as well. I never thought that when this photo was taken, almost 2 years later Mike and I would be working on a blog of our own together. It's times like these that make me so happy to be a part of such a great group of enthusiasts and gets me excited enough to travel long distances just to reunite with old friends and meet new ones.
Lilies at Hillwood Museum back in May. It's been really hot and/or raining a lot so I haven't done much photography lately.
I played this game last week .... but now I found that Thursday is here again & it's too much fun not to go through the photo archives! I think we should all keep this going!
This is January 2010. Jason's sister Melody was having a slumber party ... only Jason's mom had to work late!
Poor Jason ... it was a few hours before he was able to meet up with Lauren, Keith, & Kiera!!!
They were all Juniors in High school back then!
GP60's used to roam the Lurgan pretty regularly, often running in threes or fours on hotshot intermodal trains between Altanta and Northern New Jersey. Since I started shooting the Lurgan regularly I've only managed to nab one up front, with most of the type running trains down south over the last six years. Thanks to a bad horn on the SD70ACe leading NS 747, NS 7120 had to be put on the front between Shenandoah, VA and Harrisburg, PA.
A quick test with the new environment called 'Lagoon'
played it before on 'TM TURBO' and somehow on TMUF too.. they kinda combined Canyon,Island and Bay to create this.
More to come.

Throw back to that time three years ago when my friend Scott N and I visited the Salt Flats. The beauty and stillness of the place has never left me.
Not really all that long ago, but long enough that the power and signals can no longer be replicated at this location. WBD CP train on Elgin Sub at Elmwood Park, IL. Taken in the early to mid-2000's.
Messing around with different lantern looks. I used the Aquatic Ironman suit for most of him... tried re-creating his hover glider too. I'll post a full pic of what that looks like soon.
Remembering when there was lots of colour around!

It's 90s all over again!
I was lucky enough to obtain both Roboforce figs from a local seller (try finding them in Europe!). All three Hydronauts were also there so I did not hesitate even for a second - turned the latter into a female crew as I've been itching to use those hair pieces. Also BW guns for everyone!
I think I will use most of these parts for some custom characters, but I thought they are worthy of a post for nostalgia's sake.
Whether you're into old cars, black & white or trains, this photo should grab some sort of interest.
Chicago & Eastern Illinois GP-7 #230 pauses on the house track at Momence, Illinois in April of 1965. Switchman Del Sommers is seen walking through the shot. The depot is at right.
C&EI GP7 #230 was built by EMD in August of 1951. Was later renumbered as MP #1634 and then later #634.

My first outing on the Country Club Plaza, way back in '04.
This fountain and several others in the area are still some of my favorite photo settings.

This week we are going back thirty-six years to 1990 and to KD 28 parked on Eden Quay, dressed for route 7.
The current route 7 can be traced back to 1979 when it started operating between the city centre and Ballybrack. In 1988 it was extended to Loughlinstown Park. Certain departures started serving Cherrywood in 2004, but in 2016 these services retained the route 7 number, while the Loughlinstown Park services became route 7A.
KD 28 was new to CIE in 1981. By 1996 it had been withdrawn by Dublin Bus. In 1993 it was involved in an accident that saw it lose its roof. It was repaired using the upper deck of KD 84.
The bus is in an all-over ad for CAN / Commuter Advertising Network. This is the CIE agency responsible for advertising on buses (and elsewhere). It is still around today, although they currently partner with Global Media who place the actual ads on the buses and other places.

Today’s theme, “What did you post on May 27, 2022?” was a chance to remember how much I enjoyed putting together a series of color-themed jigsaw puzzles last year. After they were complete, I used packing tape on the back of each one, then took a picture of the puzzle with a Blythe doll on it. I posted the yellow one on this date last year, so this week I got the puzzle out again, and took a new picture with it and three of my girls. These Blythe dolls are, left to right, Ice Rune, Playful Raindrops, and Mrs. Retro Mama. Last year’s picture featured Prima Dolly Marigold. flic.kr/p/2nnYRaQ
Remember them? I found this pic in my photo folder on my computer and I was immediately filled with memories, LOL.
Ah, they had potential to be a pretty awesome line. The clothes were on-trend and not all garishly pink with glitter. The dolls had sweet faces and even though the bodies were static, they were supposed to be like mannequins. I still see them on the shelves languishing with clearance prices. I loved the fashion packs. Those were awesome and had great pieces.
