Hope your day is off to a good start? I must admit that this seasons transition period can be a bit boring here in Chicago. I’m struggling to stay motivated lately but I’m excited about new IR season being just around the corner. This was shot with IR Chrome filter. What do you think?

I decided to play and show this photo with my longest hair. I was never certain that this style was for me and I so like my shorter hair now.

SL is still so impressive to me. Esp in this photo cause of the body and lighting... This was on a foreign land with no edits... pure raw. Love SL... it is beautiful and I hope to come back more often. <3

NS 1066 leads BICB-01 west through Joliet on April Fool's Easter Day. Thanks to a birdie for the intel.

Found this "gem" on an old thumb drive. Me at a Unicorn Sanctuary circa 2013! So glad to see that both SL and I look better these days!

A recreation of a GN local from the 1950s was operated for Railfan Weekend on the North Shore Scenic Railroad in 1999. This view is at Mud Cut just west of Two Harbors.

1934 Brewster Town Car

The Brewster was immortalized in the Cole Porter song, "You're the Top" and is the only American to ever win the Gold Medal at the Paris International Exposition, a gathering of Europe's finest coachbuilders.

The Ford deal and the end.

To save Brewster from the Depression, an employee purchased 135 Ford V8 roadster chassis and designed a body for it, identified by its swoopy fenders and a heart-shaped grille.

Stylish and selling for only $3,500, it was a hit at the 1934 New York Auto Show. The bodies were worth more than the chassis. These cars were registered as Brewster and sold at Rolls-Royce showrooms, and were not branded as Fords.

A hazy day at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

I usually do not do portraits, so I am submitting a picture of me! Ha. Way back in 1965. So glad to be at the beginning of this wonderful group. HSS.

A chase of New Hampshire Northcoast D8 back in December of 2022, yielded several good shots including this one at Milton.

CN SD70i no.5610 takes the lead of CN stack train Q14921 01 through Newtonville in some great afternoon light.

After hearing about the previous day's 148 being this pair of DC power, I set my sights on the Kingston Sub on this beautifully sunny 1st day of April. Historically, 148/149 would be a trio of SD75s/D8s/D9s + more almost every day, but as more GEVOs have flooded the CN roster it has become increasingly rare to find anything but a pair of ES44s or ET44s on the Kingston 148/149 loop. So when you get a pair like this these days, you gotta take advantage.

A now abolished Q194 races north into Bogart, GA in the waning hours of the afternoon. CSX's Abbeville Subdivision between Atlanta and Greenwood, SC at the time saw around 16-20 trains per day. Now, PSR has cut that number to around 10-12.

Since seeing @crr200's shot of the Southern Crescent (flic.kr/p/jFKSp9) at this location from nearly 40 years ago, I've made it a go-to spot for morning southbounds. Until this train, I had yet to shoot the modern Crescent here, but I finally did upon learning about the Phase I heritage unit leading the Crescent. A brief delay and good dispatching worked to my advantage as Amtrak 19 winds through the curves at Red Lane just after sunrise.

All the way back to 2012. One of those shots that never got posted, but should have.

Funny how seeing a really old shot like this puts you right back there, when you took the shot.

While watching the Superbowl this afternoon, I reworked some of the old photos I took with Topaz JPEG to RAW AI. Just like these slow moving rocks, it 's a slow day today. Also this is one of the most bizarre places I have been to. These slow moving rocks are far more exciting than the Superbowl.

Went up on Cavehill one evening after work with a friend, back in March 2017, just 2 months after moving to Belfast.

This photo was taken with my first digital camera almost 11 years ago (I was the youthful age of 14) when my family traveled out west. I can't remember if this is in Yellowstone or Glacier National Park. Might have been the Tetons or Jackson Hole? Does this look familiar to anyone?
