Uno, We meet again!.. this time sa lugar ko na...hehe..
Rays of light break through the clouds and cast light across the beach and crashing waves on Tallow Beach in Byron Bay Australia.
A seagull gracefully flies through the mist and spray at the base of the American Falls in Niagara Falls, New York.
The maiko Mamekinu-san makes her way through a room at the Ichiriki teahouse in Gion, Kyoto.
Such moments of laughter and fun spent in the willow world are truly fleeting. The party ends, and if you are lucky, the fun continues on at a much smaller scale at another place or two within the dreamy confines of the hanamachi. And then you wake up the next morning feeling a little groggy, which deepens, as the exuberance of the night before retreats from the invasive harsh light of the real world seeping in through the crack in the curtains.
The Crooked River winding through the lower gorge at Smith Rock State Park, Oregon.
Basalt walls, desert brush, and the muted colors of late autumn frame the river as it cuts through the canyon, with Smith Rock formations rising in the distance. A quiet, overcast morning in one of the most dramatic landscapes in Central Oregon.
The summer sun ray
shifts through a suspicious tree.
though I walk through the valley of the shadow
It sucks the air
and looks around for me.
The grass speaks.
I hear green chanting all day.
I will fear no evil, fear no evil
The blades extend
and reach my way.
The sky breaks.
It sags and breathes upon my face.
In the presence of mine enemies, mine enemies
The world is full of enemies.
There is no safe place.
~ Anne Sexton, "Noon Walk on the Asylum Lawn"
I wanna run through your wicked garden
Heard that's the place to find you
Cause I'm alive, so alive now
I know the darkness binds you
Can you see without eyes?
Can you speak without lies?
I wanna drink from your naked fountain
I can drown your sorrows
I'm gonna burn, burn you alive now
Out of the chains that bind you
Can you see just like a child?
Can you see just what I want?
Can I bring you back to life?
Are you scared of life?
Burn, burn, burn
Burn your wicked garden down
Burn, burn, burn
Burn your wicked garden to the ground
Can you feel pain inside?
Can you love, can you cry?

Looking through the rails of clothing in the hope of a bargain.
I don't just go straight to the fitting rooms, there's a long and careful selection of merchandise first, but I get very shy taking photos on the sales floor. It's so much more discrete in a changing room. Today I was bold enough to snap a few pics in big mirrors, right out in the open.
Just over a week ago, on our second morning in San Francisco, I took this photo while walking through Chinatown, on our way to have some dim sum for brunch.

Every year the Rose-breasted Grosbeaks pass through our area, and will usually spend a few days at our feeders. Thankfully this spring they made an appearance this past week and stayed over the weekend so I actually go to see them and grab a few photos.
Not as clear as I like as this was taken through the kitchen window. But sometimes you have to take what you can get.
Buona giornata
