We know this as the Epiphany in the States. Germans get a little more into it by "blessing" doorways with the initials of the three kings: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasaar. And of course the 20 and the 06 are the year 2006 split apart.

"Now I have only one thing left to do: nothing.
I don’t want any belongings, any memories.
No friends, no love.
Those are all traps.”
Here They Are, The Three Kings!
By Staff Sgt. Joseph Rivera Rebolledo, Puerto Rico National Guard Public Affairs Office
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - During a usual hot winter day in Puerto Rico, parents from different locations of the island brought their children to Camp Santiago Joint Maneuver Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, Jan. 6, to celebrate the Three Kings Day in the open fields of the installation and receive their long waited gifts from the hands of the Governor of Puerto Rico, Honorable Alejandro Garcia Padilla and his wife, the First Lady, Wilma Pastrana.
Garcia and Pastrana made their entry to Camp Santiago by arriving on board a Puerto Rico Police Department helicopter and later transported to the activity location by car.
Once on site, the crowd with music and cheer received them.Even though it was a hot day, the children, which most do not have access to Camp Santiago on a regular basis, had the opportunity not to only enter the military installation, but also enjoyed the sunny day by playing outdoor games, eating typical food, listening to music and making new friends.
While the children played, Guardsmen ensure the visitors felt like home. Among those was the Interim Adjutant General of Puerto Rico, Col. Marta Carcana, welcoming the guests at the activity’s site gates and in the surrounding areas.
Carcana walked the areas side by side with Garcia and Pastrana ensuring everything continue to run as smoothly as planned.
More than 10,000 visitors were received at the installation during the day.
The Three Gorges Dam is a Chinese hydroelectric river dam that spans the Yangtze River. This is the biggest project that has been undertaken in China since the Great Wall and the Grand Canal
Three days ago, Jen called to say she'd like to come home Sunday, will one of us come up to share the driving back?
Jools said yes.
Tickets were bought on the trains, made harder by the WCML being closed north of Milton Keynes, so travel would be through Derby and Sheffield.
Jools would travel up Saturday, and the cheapest way was to get the first high speed surface out of Dover at quarter to seven, perfect then for me to head to the gym afterwards.
Come Saturday morning, up at five to get ready, pack bag for Jools, all so we could be on the road at twenty past six.
There was quite the frost this morning, but roads had been gritted, I just took things carefully into town past the castle and down the hill.
Jools was dropped off fifteen minutes before the train left, she waved as I drove off. Question was what to do with te twenty minutes before going to the sports centre?
Well, head to the White Cliffs to snap the docks and views over the town. Only thing was I had my gym kit, so wasn't going to stray far from the car.
Back up Castle Hill, then out along Reach Road to the NT place, before turning in at the hairpin bin.
I took a few shots from the mall car park overlooking the harbour, then drove to the exit for shots down East Cliff for views over Jubilee Way to the prom and the town beyond.
On the horizon, the bright lights of the French coast were bright, from Bleriot Plage to Calais, which looked very welcoming.
I was frozen. My hands blocks of ice, so got back in the car to drive back to Castle Hill, then turn up to the Duke of Yorks, and then to Whitfield to the sports centre.
I had ten minutes, so sat in the car trying to get warm, before I got out and got cold again as I walked to the entrance.
About twenty of us were waiting to go in, and at seven on the dot the doors were opened.
So, up to the gym, and set up the machine, where I have increased the level once more.
Let's rock!

The Virginia Aquarium Stranding Response Team released three rehabilitated turtles that were hooked by recreational fishermen. The Stranding Response Team released the turtles along the shore behind Neptune’s Park at 31st Street. This year’s naming theme for rehab patients at the Aquarium is “heroes and villains.” The sex of each young turtle is yet to be determined.
Ursula, a Kemp’s ridley which is the most endangered turtle species, was hooked at Virginia Beach Fishing Pier June 7. She had several lacerations, a healing rear flipper wound and corneal ulcers. Ursula was also undernourished.
Voldemort, another Kemp’s ridley turtle, is best known for his second hooking and rehab stay at the Aquarium’s Marine Animal Care Center. He was superficially hooked with a J hook baited with squid by a fisherman on the Buckroe Fishing Pier July 2. He quickly recovered from that injury, was released and then was hooked again three days later but this time at Naval Station Norfolk. This hook required surgery as it was lodged in his esophagus.
Green Goblin, the only green sea turtle among the group, was found on the bank of Owls Creek July 5. He was hooked through his right upper and lower eyelids with a J hook which was easily removed by the team. They also discovered a plastron (shell) fracture which has now stabilized.
The Stranding Response Team urges anyone who sees a hooked turtle to call the 24-hour hotline 757 385-7575. While you wait for assistance, do not pull a turtle up on the line which causes further injury but scoop it with a net. Then keep the turtle shaded and wet. Most of all, do not fish if you see turtles nearby.

Coventry has had three cathedrals. The first was St. Mary's, a monastic building of which only a few ruins of which remain. The second was St Michael's, a 14th century Gothic cathedral, which remains a ruined shell after it was bombed. The third is the new St Michael's Cathedral, built after the destruction of the former and a celebration of 20th century architecture.
The second St Michael's Cathedral was bombed almost to destruction by the German Luftwaffe during the Coventry Blitz of 14 November 1940. Only the tower, spire, the outer wall and the bronze effigy and tomb of its first bishop, the wonderfully named Huyshe Wolcott Yeatman-Biggs, survived. The ruins of this older cathedral remain hallowed ground and are Grade I listed. Following the bombing of the cathedral in, the words "Father Forgive" were inscribed on the wall behind the altar of the ruined building.
The current St Michael's Cathedral, built next to the remains of the old, was designed by Sir Basil Spence and Arup, built by John Laing and is also a Grade I listed building. Spence was selected for the work was a result of a competition to find an architect for the new Cathedral. He insisted that the old cathedral it should be kept in ruins as a garden of remembrance and that the new cathedral should be built alongside forming one church. The foundation stone of the new cathedral was laid by Queen Elizabeth II on 23 March 1956. The cathedral was consecrated on 25 May 1962.
The interior is notable for its huge tapestry of Christ, designed by Graham Sutherland, the emotive sculpture of the Mater Dolorosa by John Bridgeman and the Baptistry windows by John Piper, of abstract design that occupies the full height of the bowed baptistery, which comprises 195 panes, ranging from white to deep colours. Also worthy of note is the Great West Window known as the Screen of Saints and Angels, engraved directly onto the screen in expressionist style by John Hutton. The foundation stone, the ten stone panels inset into the walls of the cathedral called the Tablets of the Word, and the baptismal font were designed and carved by the émigré German letter carver Ralph Beyer.
The Charred Cross and the Cross of Nails were created after the cathedral was bombed during the Coventry Blitz of the Second World War. The cathedral stonemason, Jock Forbes, saw two wooden beams lying in the shape of a cross and tied them together. A replica of the Charred Cross built in 1964 has replaced the original in the ruins of the old cathedral on an altar of rubble. The original is now kept on the stairs linking the cathedral with St. Michael's Hall below.
The Cross of Nails was made of three nails from the roof truss of the old cathedral by Provost Richard Howard. It was later transferred to the new cathedral, where it sits in the centre of the altar cross. It has become a symbol of peace and reconciliation across the world. There are over 160 Cross of Nails Centres all over the world, all of them bearing a cross made of three nails from the ruins, similar to the original one. They are co-ordinated by the International Centre for Reconciliation.
One of the crosses made of nails from the old cathedral was donated to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin, which was destroyed by Allied bombing and is also kept as a ruin alongside a newer building. A replica of the cross of nails was also donated to the Chapel of Reconciliation (Kapelle der Versöhnung) which forms part of the Berlin Wall Memorial. A copy of the Stalingrad Madonna by Kurt Reuber that was drawn in 1942 in Stalingrad (now Volgograd) is shown in the cathedrals of all three cities (Berlin, Coventry and Volgograd) as a sign of the reconciliation of the three countries that were once enemies.
A medieval cross of nails has also been carried on board all British warships who subsequently bear the name HMS Coventry. The cross of nails was on board the Type 42 destroyer Coventry when she was sunk by enemy action in the Falklands War. The cross was salvaged by Royal Navy divers, and presented to Coventry Cathedral by the ship's Captain and colleagues. The cross was subsequently presented first to the next Coventry in 1988 until she was decommissioned in 2001, and then to HMS Diamond, which is affiliated to Coventry, during her commissioning ceremony on 6 May 2011.

The little penguin (Eudyptula minor) is the smallest species of penguin. It grows to an average of 33 cm (13 in) in height and 43 cm (17 in) in length. It is also known as the Fairy Penguin in Australia
In 1956 the rock breakwater was built for the Olympic Games and has since become home for a thriving colony of Little (Fairy) Penguins. The colony of Little Penguins (Eudyptula minor) have been the subject of a study since 1986.
This is not a managed park although there are Earthcare of St Kilda Inc. volunteers who will manage crowds and answer questions. The volunteers were an excellent source of information and helpful.
The penguins return to the breakwater at night and are sensitive to white light so there is no flash allowed. There is very limited ambient lighting but the penguins don't "see" red light and the volunteers use red torches to highlight the penguins which just allows you to get some autofocus working.
Quite challenging for me and the first tie I have ever ventured into the really high ISO and combined it with my 50mm f1.8.
There are quite a few in the trash bin but this is one of the better ones. Worth it all to see these fellas in the wild.
Penguins Rock!
