This three tier stacked ivory cake has been piped very delicately around the middle with a tiny flower.

The top is finished with handmade roses.

Three of our five cats, Bonkers leaving his chigura/cat house, Norio resting on my backpack on the suitcase, and Tigger on her favorite mat, in the living room this morning. Norio and Tigger were enjoying the warm sun from the southern windows after a cool night.

OK, now I added short stick trinagles to the ends of each of the nine main sticks. The short sticks do two things:

1) they add more height, since the angles they create are more acute

2) they add a little more diameter... now we might be covering 1017sqft

My family had a pumpkin carving activity this afternoon. I thought we might get a few worth while images. Although we all four carved a pumpkin, one did not make the "cut" so to speak. So, here are the three surviving pumpkin heads.

Three white mini pumpkins in a row.

Plurals of fish: several fish of the same species; fish. Several fish of different species; fishes. These three species are...? Shiprock

The little penguin (Eudyptula minor) is the smallest species of penguin. It grows to an average of 33 cm (13 in) in height and 43 cm (17 in) in length. It is also known as the Fairy Penguin in Australia

In 1956 the rock breakwater was built for the Olympic Games and has since become home for a thriving colony of Little (Fairy) Penguins. The colony of Little Penguins (Eudyptula minor) have been the subject of a study since 1986.

This is not a managed park although there are Earthcare of St Kilda Inc. volunteers who will manage crowds and answer questions. The volunteers were an excellent source of information and helpful.

The penguins return to the breakwater at night and are sensitive to white light so there is no flash allowed. There is very limited ambient lighting but the penguins don't "see" red light and the volunteers use red torches to highlight the penguins which just allows you to get some autofocus working.

Quite challenging for me and the first tie I have ever ventured into the really high ISO and combined it with my 50mm f1.8.

There are quite a few in the trash bin but this is one of the better ones. Worth it all to see these fellas in the wild.

This is stunningly beautiful! Such rich colours and detail all done in stone. I love it so much.. and to think this is thousands of years old...

I'd like Ana (Mint bubblegum) to choose one for our next swap (well, more like "future swap" as we both are busy now and haven't agreed on when will send our swaps yet (^__^;) )

Punch - June 17th 1953

Dartmouth Castle, Devon

We know this as the Epiphany in the States. Germans get a little more into it by "blessing" doorways with the initials of the three kings: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasaar. And of course the 20 and the 06 are the year 2006 split apart.

The Three Graces (of which this shot shows just one) are off the Oregon Coast between Garabaldi and Rockaway beach. I've loved that tree, which was the sign we were finally nearing our camp at Twin Rocks , since I was a small child.

A couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to arrive just as the sun put on God's art show in the sky. I found it very difficult to chose my favorite from the dozen frames I shot.

Three worlds reflected in one.

Shashur Monastery

Shashur means "in the blue pines". Founded in 17 A.D. by Lama Deva Gyatso of Zanskar who was a missionary of Nawang Namgial. The king of Bhutan, Deva Gyatso renovated the present monastery and stayed till his death. When he was being cremated his heart did not burn and was enclosed in a black image of Gyatso. A statue of Namgial is also installed in the gompa.
