I found this little bunch of thread (along with some rick rack and bias tape) at Goodwill for $1. I love how colorful it all is together!
Start at the far right of left side of your project. You may want to measure and mark you rigid heddle loom with a 0 in the center of the heddle and mark each inch to the left and right of the zero. If you project is 10" in the heddle, start at the 5" mark on the right or left.
With the threading hook in your right or left hand, pull one set of threads (looks like a loop) through at a time. You are placing the threads in each slot of the loom.
After our viewing the archaeological sites of Moray, our driver stopped in the small town of Chincero on that same high elevation plateau (11,000’ plus) next to what was an obvious tourist stop giving a demonstration of yarn dyeing/weaving. We did find it interesting, and, yes, we did actually buy a couple of items.

One of my favorite things is the ball of threads that appear when you wash a cut piece of drapery weight fabric. Okay, I'm weird...~smile~

Lots of tiny spools of thread, misc sewing necessities, two books I've finished reading, my planner and ibuds are tucked away in this corner.
Christmas packaged decorated with thread spool Christmas tree. Spools have scrapbook paper decoupaged onto them. They are held together end to end with wood glue. The sections are secured to the box lid with twine through small holes in the lid.
