Behind The Shot: He is a member of a weaver family. For centuries, his family is doing this work. He buys thread at the price of 1600 BDT ($20) per KG. His family doesn’t arrange the loom. They get it done from outside. It takes 8 days to arrange a loom and costs 2000 BDT ($25). He works from 6 am to 9 pm and can weave 1.5 piece of cloth (locally called ‘Than’) for Lungi (lungi is a kind of male dress) per day. Four pieces of lungi can be made from a piece of cloth. Each Saturday, he sells his weekly production at a market named Kumar khali in Kustia at the price of 550 BDT ($6.9) per piece of cloth.
I bought these threads on holiday on a tiny French market. I've never heard of the brand. It's a cotton thread, twisted 2-ply and it looks really nice! Have you ever heard of this thread? And embroidered with it? Tell me what you think!

Aurifil Thread mosaic for the Aurifil Make-A Designer-Collection competition on Lily's Quilts. The title is a blatant ripoff of Lynne's first mosaic (I Never Promised You A Rose Garden), in part because the song is a total earworm now, and in part because the colors I chose remind me of a rainy garden, muted but still beautiful. Believe it or not, the first color I chose was the top right, 5015. It's a difficult color but it just called to me. I made several thread palettes, but this is by far my favorite! I chose 50wt thread because I find it to be the most versatile, good for piecing, quilting or applique.

This was my first major attempt at free motion embroidery. I did it on a felt background that I had needle felted different wool onto so that I wouldn't have to cover the who piece with thread.
I really enjoyed doing this.
My first attempt at thread painting a table runner, using a panto as the bones for the quilting.

This bugger is the last problem. I unscrewed it and replaced the 2 wraps of Teflon tape with 3 which seemed to do the trick.
