I made this using a white silk yarn and some dmc cotton perle thread... it was an easy pattern but a lot of little pieces until it came together :o)

an Eatern Sedgefrog with a white thread of some descritpion attached. This chap and two of his mates I saved from a trip to the dump as part of a tree lopping program in my backyard at Rothwell, Queensland.

Sewing Threads

I love to see blocks of colours, jars or pencils together. I spotted this lovely display of coloured threads in the craft section of the Garden Centre this morning. It was almost perfect, apart from the fact that colour 656 had sold out.

thicker thread used, they go so fast!

Le Banc Afrique's yearly report

We designed a series of cover designs and content layouts for the African Development Bank's yearly report & Statistical Addendum.

We aimed to give the design a colourfull twist that evokes the love of colours the african people have, and not give any preference to any specific part of Africa. The ADB is a multinational institution and is represented as such in this design treatment.

I use many types of thread for my art work. Silk is my choice of all from fine stranded silks to thick nubby yarns...... I keep my threads out on hoops hung on a sliding barn door.....I need to have my materials in order and yet out where I can see them....This works very well...

Here is the front of the Spears loom, with the warped threads hanging loose. I'm getting ready to wind it on the rollers, but I need to read a bit more about how to do that. Setting up weaving is a very tedious process. I imagine that the actual weaving will be more fun.

I really like this stuff. It's beaded looking from the tight ply.

Using the templates for my Orchard Pillow in spring 2012 Stitch magazine. I made these as angel potholders for the VMQG-FVMQG swap. The cream quilting thread is Aurifil cotton 12 wt.

This is simply an "I needed something to shoot for today and I didn't have any good ideas or the energy to set up a meaningful shot" shot. So I took a picture of tiny spools of thread. Yay.

Juliette embellished this suit with two designs from Urban Threads, chopped up and arranged in software to embellish the entire front of the jacket. Love the curviness of the designs, the cut, and the piecing!
