As soon as i saw this police van pull into frame my guard instantly went up (sad but true). I thought scooting around London so early on Christmas day might not be suspicious behaviour, but it was definitely a bit out of the ordinary. I considered slinking off, as i didn't really have 20 minutes to waste on a stop and searchas has happened to me in the past. I held back for a bit as the van parked and the driver door opened. Nobody got out. The one time i'm expecting The Spanish Inqusition and they don't turn up. The Spanish Inquisition is tricky like that.
I figured i'd try my luck, approached the driver and asked if i could take some photos of the van in situ. He was reluctant. I said it was a pretty rare sight seeing a lone police van in a deserted Trafalgar Square. Still hesitant. When i clarified he/his face wouldn't be in them he agreed. A few snaps later it was merry christmas and goodbye. Sadly he had to go do some policing before i could get a wide shot of the van against the empty square. Most pleasant experience with the law i've had while holding my camera.

This one is of one of my colleagues at a recent dinner party. There were several people at the table at that time and they were just about to start dinner when she went into a deep thought right then just for a moment. I love capturing natural expressions :)

When all is said and done, you are part of me. That's the way it was meant to be. People are brought together for a reason, everything happens for a reason. I believe the reason that you and me were brought together was because we complete one another. We fill in each other's missing spots with love. And if someday God decides to tear us apart, I trust that there is a reason. Cause if there is a reason for love, there is a reason for life beyond it
