I thought I walked to Chesser's Grocery and Market (which would have been called a convenience store today, minus gasoline) to buy orange push ups, Double Cola, and 100 pieces of 1 cent candy when I was a young boy in the 1950s. It was located on the fringe of town on State Street. But I was wrong. The little store I walked to was Shoner's. Wish I had a picture or two of that one!!

Some Times we all have to think.

A gentleman sitting inside the prayer hall of the Great Umayyad Mosque. The prayer hall is carpeted, so it has, despite its grand dimensions, a more... homely? humble? feel than your average cathedral. It's more free-form too - people sit in groups where they feel like, while others walk around.

BILL: Is there a difference between thinking and thought?

ELIAS: As an interpretation mechanism, yes there can be a difference between repetitive thinking and ideas.

BILL: And ideas are thoughts?

ELIAS: Yes, but they are inspired by other communications.

BILL: And the thought is the interpretation of the idea.

ELIAS: Yes.

BILL: Not the idea itself. The thought is still being worked as an interpreter, it interprets the idea into words and thinking.

ELIAS: Yes.

BILL: Yeah, that makes sense.

Thought I'd do more trapping now the weather has settled. But Monday morning revealed a disappointing selection, but two of what appeared to be bird droppings, but I could just make out the tips of insect legs.

Wingspan 18-22 mm.

This unusual-looking moth combines its wing-pattern and resting posture to give the appearance of a bird-dropping, thus avoiding the attention of hungry birds. It has two generations in the year, May and June, then again in August, when the adults can be attracted by light.

It occurs fairly commonly in England, Wales, Ireland and southern Scotland, and can be found in hedgerows, gardens and woodland.

The larvae feed mainly on blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and hawthorn (Crataegus), but occasionally other Prunus species.
