ExactTarget thought of everything to make the Connections 2010 experience splendid. "Branded" down to the napkins, table cloths, and even the insulation cup holder for your custom-made espresso at the free espresso bar. How cool is that? Indianapolis, IN. September 16, 2010.
I thought this was an old transformer from back in the day, but it's just an old rust bucket. This site is a brownfield and the reason it's a brownfield (do NOT dig!) site is because it was once a Coke plant (coal-to-coke for foundry use) and then where WP&L made, stored, and refurbished electrical transformers (when the coolant of choice was PCB-based), and, lastly, the Main Beloit Sewer Plant (because... well... river = sewer... way back in pre-1950 times).
Amazing how we abused our resources back in the olden days, huh?
Shot with my 1st Gen, 1993, Canon EF 70-300mm lens. (All I took with me on the bike ride yesterday. Cropped out some vignetting in the corners, but remarkably good for its age.)

I thought about getting a tattoo but opted for a temporary one. Some guy inked me up on a beach in St. Maarten.
A nice plume heading up from the rostered steam locomotive - Bagnall 2682. My thought was to hop on board for a quick trip up and down the line.

In October 2016, the Quinlan School of Business hosted our 5th Annual Case Competition. 73 undergraduate Loyola students in 16 teams, and 18 judges, including alumni and business professionals, participated. Through the competition, our students demonstrate what they have learned in the classroom and apply it to a real-world business situation.
This year's case, "Google Car", asked the teams to look at Google's entrance into autonomous driving. Should Google continue to invest in the technology behind self-driving cars? How could Google's core software-based and search business benefit from self-driving car technology? As large auto manufacturers began to invest in automotive technology themselves, could Google compete? Was this investment of time and resources worth it for Google?

I thought this was interesting because it's almost as if the cars decided on their own to go under the shade, like humans would in a bright hot sunny day. With the lights on in one of the cars, a scene devoid of life still hints at it, a little bit like Todd Hido's photos with the houses at night with the lights on. The motion in the picture also says that I am passing through this scene, adding to the feel of the image. This final image of the project shows how I have evolved, from going as far as Ohio, to getting a unique picture right here locally.
Our experiences form the boundaries of our thoughts, reinforced by our perspectives. In due time, we even forget that we are born free and get entangled in our own thoughts.

Originaly I thought it was a victim of a heteropteran predator but the massive bulk of the body, which was a least double that of other aphids sharing the same plant, caused me to wonder if the excessive bulk was from housing an internal parasitoid which then eat its way out.
Any ideas welcome
Aphidius (a genus of aphid parasitic wasps) I believe to be the culprit from other pictures that I have seen. The hole being the exit hole of the adult wasp.
