This is a mask of commedia dell'arte, it's the Devil's mask of the Renaissance, to be more precise.

This is my "design thought model". It is intended to communicate my design process in response to an assignment given in the freshman design course - Design Thinking. In short, my process is intensely thought out and quite intricate. Each gear in the model represents the ideas building in my head... the inside gears spinning faster are the immediate ideas and the slower gears on the outside are the primary, finalized ideas. The spring is the potential of each project before it is wound up and put into the process just like it is potential energy waiting to run the clock. There are no numbers on this clock because the process, though it is running through a cycle, is not being timed.
Probably my favorite part about this project is that it doesn't tick second by second... the gears spin at full speed to show the energy of the process. I hope if nothing else it looks cool, enjoy!
Warm thoughts go out to friends & family in the colder parts of the world! Spring (for most) is just around the corner!

I have a series of photos/art that I did with just my face wearing face masks. Clay ones, peel off ones, etc. It was winter...I was bored.
Thought I would surprise you with a straight up picture from this summer.. This bush is across the street and in sad shape but still produces beautiful flowers...
