Anthropomorphic food. So tempting.

The picture is not all that great, but I thought it was rather humerous.

Thought I'd give you a rest from the Sicily pics it was Ellesmere Regatta today

Me and Kylie sitting on the picnic blanket watching Uggy and Jordan play fetch.

All thought her real name is Dawn I call her Yuki (Hakari being her last name) cause of my Pearl & now Platnum Version. The only real differance between Yuki and Dawn from the anime is their scarf (Yuki's is longer than Dawn's and that Dawn has a backpack where as Yuki has a duffle bag), tho now thanks to platinum the two look very differant. Also the name is inspired by Yuki Nagato from "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" and Dawn's Japanese name Hikari thus the name Yuki Hakari is born whom I have also tied into my own Ace Combat Story-Timeline-thingy.

Currently, my story for her is that after nearly a year overseas with her father learning to fly as a fighter pilot, she finally returns to Sinnoh, only to find that the climate has changed and that she much re-new her pokemon license meaning that she much collect her badges again and regain the respect of her pokemon who have been leader-less for a year now no longer reconize their owner, can she regain their trust as she discovers what Sinnoh's new surprises, like the Distortion World?

you thought you wanted it so much that you could give up almost everything just to have it. but when you were there and it was almost within your

reach, that afternoon's color display defiantly washed over you rays of realization

—IT was not meant for you.

It was comforting.

smiling to the world, without any contest, you walked out of the room, amidst all

the happy faces, the fresh bonds, unheard stories,

the remarkable talents and passion.

it was an unstoppable moment.

you're certain that you wanted something else.

determination fired up within you and

armed with nothing but faith in yourself and in the heavens..

you bid farewell to that abstraction, and was set to head for the hue where you belong.

Finally, the source of all my recent quotations:

"I am vertical"

But I would rather be horizontal.

I am not a tree with my root in the soil

Sucking up minerals and motherly love

So that each March I may gleam into leaf,

Nor am I the beauty of a garden bed

Attracting my share of Ahs and spectacularly painted,

Unknowing I must soon unpetal.

Compared with me, a tree is immortal

And a flower-head not tall, but more startling,

And I want the one's longevity and the other's daring.

Tonight, in the infinitesimal light of the stars,

The trees and the flowers have been strewing their cool odors.

I walk among them, but none of them are noticing.

Sometimes I think that when I am sleeping

I must most perfectly resemble them--

Thoughts gone dim.

It is more natural to me, lying down.

Then the sky and I are in open conversation,

And I shall be useful when I lie down finally:

Then the trees may touch me for once, and the flowers have time for me.

Well, I figured these 'self-snippets' as Rick calls it are quite receptive considering the baffling amount of views I got for the last piece compared to my other recent posts...::shrugs::

Although..., I wasn't planning on posting this as I am ashamed to say I've began to pay way too much attention to my sometimes-best-sometimes-worst friend who says my arms are fat. They aren't. Really. Are they? God, I can't believe I'm even pondering this. Shame on me!

X: I'm mentally preparing to run the race in an hour, wish me luck! I know you will, as you are so worried about my arms! *sigh*

Y: good luck w/ the race. try your best to actually run and not just walk leisurely thru the streets.

'cause you know, those 'arms' will mostly likely weigh you down...but you must try

hard.

** You won't believe this, but he does love me :-)

Here's a very exciting story for you:

I washed the side of the house with a hose.

I got the lion's face on the side of our house wet.

I thought, "Oh, that would make a neat picture."

I took a picture.

I posted it here, on Flickr.

I await commentary.

And then, lasers! Pyoo, pyoo! Zap! Nooooo!

When I was ten years old, I found throwing rocks in the road for cars to hit while I waited for the bus was very entertaining. When my father told me that if I did that, one would fly back and hit me in the head, I stopped. For some reason Brooke and I ended up doing that and we somehow found it hilarious. We're like cavemen inventing fire. I love my best friend (:

This is the same road but a different angle used in the shot God Bless The Broken Road; It Led Me Straight To You.

I thought I'd try to make it seem as though DS9 was really alive by adding shuttles in.

LOL! You can see my gloved hand in a few of them.

I really love Anna Broströms ceramics! The small red cup was thrifted a couple of months ago, and B found the small bowl yesterday!!

I thought this was derelict initially but then spotted there were lights on inside so now I'm not sure. Anyone know the situation?

thoughts on the edge

past informs the present

It's been a queer day all-round. This morning I left for Kew and the Royal Botanic Gardens not expecting to have such a good time or be immersed in Queer Nature. Now back in Paddington I'm padding about under Bishop's Bridge along the Paddington Basin towards Browning's Pool; just mooching about yet aware of the Alan Turing Memorial.

Almost a month ago, away on the isle of Guernsey, I had the great privilege of attending a talk by a passionate technician who had a long enough association with Bletchley Park to have first hand dialogue with people there during the Second World War. He, in my view, respectfully acknowledged the role of a group of Polish mathematicians with pre-war experience of early Enigma technology. I don't think he meant to diminish Alan Turing's role in the development of modern computing so it's important to say that he meant more to give credit to the mathematician's work on Enigma logic rather than criticise Turing's application of automation to cryptoanalysis.

Alan Turing was born quite near to here, in Maida Vale. In 1952 his homosexuality led to conviction for gross indecency under what was even then an archaic law. His probation condition included hormone injections with attendant consequnces. His death on 7 June 1954, seventy years ago this week and largely forgotten, was attributed to suicide. Ironically, among other celebrations, Turing's death has gone unremarked despite the estimates that the work at Bletchley shortened the war by two years and saved 14 milion lives.

Spare a thought for what might have been.

We thought this was a church, but perhaps it was a school and the tower was the school bell?

A good friend of mine was deep deep in thought during our trip. Captured this moment without him realizing it lol I processed it with natural tones and for some reason it didn't justify the mood to me. So i stepped back and played around with teh sliders a bit, and I stopped with this one. I like the red tones. They kind of complement the somber look he has.

Again, I'm not a portrait guy, so help me out here! Would appreciate all feedback/comments.

Sorry, I haven't been on flickr over the weekend. The world cup's keeping me too occupied to process pics. I will catch up with your streams today, promise! Have a great Monday everyone!
