Look, he says, it's even my colour!
Sadly I had to tell him that it's a handrail.
PS. The bridge in the background carries the only road in and out of Phillip Island.

Thomas thought he might try a different form of transport. He had a little bit of trouble reaching the handlebars and pedals though.
This wooden train set was my son’s as a young boy. He is now a grown adult. We kept the set in hopes of giving it to a grand son or daughter someday. It has been used occasionally when friend’s visit with their children.
There is a series of books and a public television show about Thomas. Our son loved both.
Shot for CrAzY Tuesday’s Sept 26th theme “Toy Transport”.

Nope. I don't think that really works. But perhaps you get the gist of it. I smile alot.
WC 7525 was placed on the other end of the Thomas train to provide motive power. Thanks IRM for choosing an engine with Operation Lifesaver's message on the side!
RPN Rejected
Reason(s) for Rejection:
- Horizon Unlevel: Try leveling the image in your photo editing software.
So I used a virtual laser level, straightened the image a resubmitted it to RPN. It got rejected again.
Reason(s) for Rejection:
- Obstructing Objects (Foreground Clutter)
I guess they really don't want the shot on RPN.
Not a lot of people know it (or care), but this particular Thomas went through gender reassignment surgery in the building at the left rear of this view. Prior to the op in 1994 he was a saddle-tank called Linda and when he came out he was 'Thomas the pannier-tank engine'.
A scan from a 35mm slide.
My previous upload shows Thomas in his previous life.

Amazingly South Australia’s very own no.520 “Sir Malcolm Barclay Harvey” has been immortalised in the latest Thomas the Tank Engine movie.
Shane, a fun-loving, carefree green and gold engine is based on a real life locomotive that rolled out of South Australian Islington workshops in 1944.
520 was seen here at Blackwood in the Adelaide Hills working a Steamranger ‘Southern Encounter’ excursion in the late 1980s. The locomotive is currently under restoration at Steamranger’s Mount Barker depot.

Made today for Enzo's first birthday!
* this was the best i could do in photoshop with a heavily under-exposed picture, thanks to the fact that the sunlight was directly behind it. I just couldn't get myself to posting the photo i took with the flash (i only have a pathetic built-in one). I guess I know what my next investment needs to be... :-P
Wow! This photo made #8 on explore 10/20/2007!!

Meet Thomas. He's in need of a railway track. Let's see if we can help him find one.....
A mooch about the East Lancs Railway this afternoon photographing former Manchester Ship Canal Railway No 32 "Gothenburg" (aka Thomas) and Hunslet built Austerity No 2890 (aka Douglas)
Thomas wouldn't be complete without his coaches Annie & Clarabel. These are, like Thomas, based on their appearance in The Railway Series, with elements from Awdry's own models mixed in. They're quite plain, but I think they look very effective coupled behind Thomas' blue.
The North Norfolk Railway here at Sheringham are having a 'Thomas The Tank Engine' Weekend.
So once again Martin & Debs from M&D Butchers have joined in the fun. Spot the 'Fat Controller', more of him in the next upload.
Oh, and can you spot the slightly impatient Mrs.F's. reflection in the top left corner ;-))
Driver seen awaiting departure from Tywyn is Skarloey Railway Number 3 SIR HANDLE otherwise known as the Talyllyn Railway Number 3 SIR HAYDN. September 13, 1982.
The Talyllyn has a long connection to the Reverend Awdry writer of the Railway Series books which much later were adapted into the popular "Thomas the Tank Engine" TV series. Rev Awdry's office has been rebuilt in the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum at Tywyn Station.
