Thomas comes to the Rescue the Illinois Railway Museum and saves the year! The Burlington Route restored diesel switcher did all the work on Thomas train

If anyone wants to know the story behind the picture please ask.

The Strasburg Rail Road's Thomas the Tank Engine stomps through the fields of Cherry Crest Farm in the town of Ronks, PA, as she hauls a 9-car, "Day out with Thomas" excursion westbound toward East Strasburg, with a load of happy kids on board. The former Brooklyn Eastern District Terminal Locomotive #15 has been so heavily modified for its role as the lead character in the series "Thomas and Friends" that it is nearly unrecognizable as its former self. Just about the only remaining vestige of the original locomotive is the running gear, albeit in baby blue paint.

Percy had worked his branch line for many years, and knew all the routes.

"You know just where to stop, Thomas," laughed his driver. "You could almost manage it without me!"

Although he enjoyed his senior status, Percy had become bored with his journeys and longed for excitement. He wished something would happen to remind him that life was for living. After hauling the milk float up a steep hill, a giant pair of sosij legs appeared from nowhere and straddled the tunnel Percy was just coming out of. He looked up and just over the top of his erect funnel Percy caught glimpse of a massive naked woman, high above him, Percy only knew one way to impress, so as she looked down, he fired up his engine, concentrated and drove expertly to the station. Sir Topham Hat (normally not missing a trick) was unaware of the incident, it was 16.40 hrs and he had noted a family returning from their day trip away from the isle of Sodor. He remembered that morning how they had opted for the 'Family Travelcard'. This meant they should have returned before the evening peak, he desperately wanted to challenge and fine them, but his thighs had rubbed a hole in his work-issue trousers that afternoon - so he just stood motionless, feet together, as they crossed the barrier and left his station.

Thomas the tank engine day at the Huckleberry Railroad. I think the conductor wins for the best Sir Topham Hatt look alike contest.

Yet another view of the roundhouse. Still my favourite building.

Pictured is 27001 completing the drag back the short distance into the station platform and replenishment.

You'll notice that the Single Line Token is still with the original loco as it started off an hour before.

Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends Live - the stage version at Wembley arena. Its time for Thomas to go.

A very cold, crisp and clear morning at the East Anglian Railway Museum on 11th December 2022 meant that "Thomas" was putting up a very fine exhaust.

Three large radius curves were used in this year's layout, thanks to ME Rails.

After a weekend working Thomas trains at Gembrook 6A and the Peckett (aka Thomas) head for home.
