This was grandma and grandpa's car. When they passed on, we inherited this car. The scrapes on the bumper were from grandma and grandpa. The girls learned how to drive using this car. It carried our eldest daughter to and from State College Pa, when she went to Penn State. Our youngest drove to school when she went to UNC Chapel Hill. Only 85,000 miles on the odometer, young for a car. A newer and safer car has taken it's place. We will always have a place in our heart for this car.
This perennial herb is fairly restricted to the Sierra Nevada in and around the Lake Tahoe area. At this site on the north edge of the Heavenly Valley Ski Area, crevices in rocky outcrops seemed to be the preferred habitat.
A landmark (the Brooklyn Bridge), a blonde beauty, racial diversity, an American Flag and a promise of hope and dreams...

This is an Uglydoll Action Figure Prototype Sample. This was the first piece done to gain approval for the Action Figures. The piece is made of a poly resin material. It is hand painted. Unlike the actual produced pieces, the arms and waist do not move. For comparison, the plastic, produced, retail piece is on the right.
This house is located on South Grand Street in Monroe Louisiana. I believe it is now an orphanage. If anyone knows it's history, please let me know.
This was one of the main stops on our April 2014 sampler tour of the West. We hit the Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire on a clear crisp cold Saturday morning toward the end of April. This was our first visit to this Faire and we didn't know what to expect. We got there early, did a loop and wondered if that was it, but then we discovered another path that lead to a much bigger area. Great faire with a lot of good entertainment and people watching. Not much chain mail - bummer. It was definitely worth a stop and we would do it again!
I took these photos in April 2014.

This is pretty much all you need to have a good time surfing. Boardies, board legrope. Go hard or go home.
This started out as a tribute to Horst's famous corset picture. The lighting was done with large studio lights, not a flash or strobe. Rarely do I see a model who so gracefully uses har hands.
This was requested as a self-portrait. It isn’t a one-to-one equivalent of the person who commissioned me due to limitations of the sculpt.
I’m beginning to resent the way the gloss photographs but it looks really nice in person. >_< Aaaand… I think I’m going to avoid using black as my back drop.

Beautiful skies this morning! Enjoy!
This is absolutely my favorite recipe so far from King Arthur Flour's Whole Grain Baking. It was moist and delicious.
This year’s Kartik Kirtan and Dance night was celebrated in London, UK, in the presence of Paramahamsa Vishwananda. The event included dance performances, bhajans, the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, and special Hindu ceremonies just for this occasion. The location was filled with music, singing, and hours of dancing in honour and celebration of the Divine Form of Sri Krishna.

Taken at the Mill of Kintail near Almonte. This is the way up from the parlor to the loft where various sculptures of Dr Tait McKenzie are displayed. In addition to his sculpting, Dr McKenzie "gained world acclaim for his pioneering work in preventive and rehabilitative medicine. Many of the exercises massage and hydrotherapy treatments he developed are still in use by physiotherapists today."
You may wish to go large (full-screen recommended) to view properly as this photo is both low-key and vertical. Click Mill of Kintail in the tag section to see more of this conservation area if you are interested.
An HDR from three handheld exposures.
This running Churchill IIIstar (a "funny" converted back to a gun tank with a welded turret and 75mm gun) owned by The Churchill Trust was for me the absolute star of The Tank Museum's Spring Tiger Day 2023: my first ever look at a working Churchill. This tank reflects pre-war Army doctrine that divided tanks into slow infantry "I" tanks intended to assist and move with dismounted infantry breaking into defended positions, while other, less armoured but faster cruiser tanks were held back to exploit a breakthrough. Increasing engine power as well as the resource-wasteful nature of this doctrine led to its abandonment as tanks both well-armoured and fast, with significant guns, were developed.
This was taken near Smyrna, DE. Temps were unusually cold, near 0 with the strong windchill. I think this Vulture was enjoying the heat being collected by this dish.
This is fuckin' BADASS!!! Whatever this is waited above an entrance to my clothesline pole (where there is a hornets nest in which I was about to spray) and I saw this thing go after one. Caught it, flew back onto the cross pole and went about eating it. Just for comparison, that is a full grown hornet it has underneath it. I would have to guess that it is the size of my thumb.
Update: It is a Robber Fly (Dasylechia atrox)
