'The Resurrection Spirit' (2013) by Maggi Hambling in the church of St Dunstan, Mayfield, East Sussex. The steel sculpture is described as representing the spirit of the resurrection caught in a moment of flight, and as a metaphor for the hope. It is situated to draw the eye up from the altar to the sky.

A winged unicorn (cerapter, flying unicorn, pegacorn, or unisus) is a fictional ungulate, typically portrayed as a horse, with wings like Pegasus and the horn of a unicorn. In some literature and media, it has been referred to as an alicorn, a Latin word for the horn of a unicorn, especially in alchemical texts, or as a pegacorn, a portmanteau of pegasus and unicorn.

Best viewed full size. Better light on this one than previous one. Like the detail on the butterfly's body - I never realised they were so hairy ! Its a bit creepy! Slightly cropped on camera ?
I didn't try many bird shots because I know there will be some great ones today and instead was shooting the wings on the sugar maple-but the bird won out.
ODC1, "THINGS WITH WINGS"
It may have been wet, grey and windy but I found some friendly marbled whites butterflies to pose for the camera today - in fact I wished I'd had two cameras as at one stage one landed on the lens barrel - what a shot that would have been :o) This is an uncropped shot!
"With the wind feverishly blowing the branches around the lens and over my head these guys stayed glued to the dead leaf they had chosen to hang onto..."

I photographed this hood ornament on a beautiful Morgan automobile but I didnt like how it turned out. I had some bad lighting and shadows that were causing me trouble.
So I removed the color and brought out the detail in the center of the ornament. I like how it turned out
