Large On Black

Another moth!

I found this one while I was cleaning my windows. She was dead on the windowsill.

She is a "White Ermine" and she's poisonous to birds.

I decided to call her Hermione, took a couple of pictures and then tossed her out of the window.

I don't paticularly like bugs...

She was extraordinarily photogenic so I could take this pretty picture and didn't even need to edit it!

Stopped Brookside Cemetery this morning and say this little angel perched on a headstone. It reminded me of the Sarah Mclachlin song.

Slightly difficult to shoot through the grass, but this big Dragonfly wasn't hard to miss. Taken near Gallery Stratford.

Avro Lancaster B MkVII NX611 at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre. Currently restored to taxiing standard there is a long term project to hopefully return her to airworthy condition

A Klm Cityhopper (Fokker F100) showcased to the general public on Schiphol airport's panorama deck. I took this shot from the stairs to the entry doors.

ODC Group 2: Things With Wings

I have taken so many pictures of birds lately that when this theme came up today I decided to look for something different. I found this lovely statue at the front of the roof of a canal barge.

Flying Beetle Book

This big Dragonfly just landed on the pond scum long enough for a few shots. Notice the small Damselfly in the top left. Taken near Gallery Stratford. Confederation Park.

Keep In Flight -- Have the spirit of the bird, spread your wings and fly.

I found this gull pecking away at this Coca Cola glass. I just wish I could have had a better position to snap the photo from in front of it

A dragonfly in a cork tree, as you do.

These 3 swan chicks were rescued by "Mama Swan" after they got caught in the current of the flooded Little Cannon River. They were in fairly calm water when the little ones started to move towards the faster moving water. They werent strong enough to escape and they were being pulled into the faster water.

Luckily mama was able to get them to safer waters.
