Area being thinned in a private project. Logger had an accidental fire, confined to thinned area. Thinning projects in the area are part of the Rocky Point-White Swan Forest Resilience Targeted Implemntation Plan (TIP) under Montana Focused Conservation (MFC) and complement other projects completed by CSKT. This TIP is in partnership with Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Lake County Conservation District, and the Montana Departmnet of Natural Resources and Conservation. The purpose of the TIP is to improve forest resilience to weather and pest issues, decrease the likelihood of catastrophic wildfire in the Wildland Urban Interface, and improve forest health. This work may also decrease risk to homes in the area from wildfire. Lake County, MT. June 2021. Flathead Reservation, Lake County, MT. June 2021.

Everybody loves the black & gold bikini !
The N9 Atlas Moutains Pass between Marrakesh and Ouatazate was built in 1929 by the French. A beautiful if not daunting road on which to drive. There is very little rainfall annually in the area, so all crops and farming are grown in thin green ribbons along the valley floors where rainfall and meltwater from the distant high Mountains flow towards the dessert.

On 24th November 2010 students and school children in Liverpool walked out of classes as part of a national day of action. They marched to the town hall and then stopped traffic at several spots around the city.
In the past, people could walk through the gulf of Finland on ice, now it is impossible due to a heavy traffic.

Mint chocolate cupcakes with Girl Scouts' Thin Mints in the cake. Mint cream cheese frosting with crushed Thin Mints in it. All topped with more Thin Mint!
My take on quite possibly my favorite Girl Scout cookie ever! Rich chocolate cake flavored w/ ground thin mints, topped with a layer of Ganache, Cool minty buttercream and a Thin mint wedge for garnish.
I have been traveling these days and have not had time to post or view or comment.

How I'm spending this snowy Saturday. I always thin my lugs, but this customer asked if I would make them as thin as possible. This lug doesn't look super thin in these pics, but compare it to the other lug that you can see in one of the images... I just hope that the painter can put the paint on thin enough that the shore lines don't just disappear.
