Our newest member - Thin Lizzies! Beautiful thin mint chocolate cookies with a slightly chewy center and a layer of mint milk chocolate on top.

They rock. Just like the band.

The 8th annual Midwest Mayhem, presented by 88.1 KDHX, was held at the City Museum on May 9, 2013. The event, which is a giant thank-you party for KDHX members, featured local bands, artists, burlesque and other forms of entertainment over several hours.

oh this was a fun shot! these are reflections in a curved glossy steel pillar. The round shape of it distorted and skinnied anyone near it. :-)

Hiking the coast trail in East Sooke Regional Park.

At Lake Harriet, two gulls and a wood duck stand on the ice next to a "Thin Ice" sign that has collapsed into the water.

A flower with a thin thread of spiderweb around it.

The thinness here bodes well for my future turning abilities.

 

This was an impatient test, so I didn't bother to figure out a good chucking method. I just turned between centers the whole time, and as such, had to leave a support column in the middle. This was never intended to be a finish piece, so it's no bother. I was more interested in getting a thin edge, as a test of my abilities.
