Week Three. The theme? Breakfast. So I took some pictures of grapefruit. Apparently people actually eat these things. I would never. But it sure photographs better than the yogurt I ate this morning.
The first two for the week are, obviously, just the grapefruit. In the last one, I added in my roommate's coffee (another thing common at breakfast that I cannot stand.)
Next Week: Macro!

I'm a fan of photo realism, so when the monthly theme of 'Out of Focus' was announced, I nearly passed it up. But I experimented a bit to see which types of blurry photos I liked and was surprised that I got several and had a hard time deciding which to use. I decided to use this angel artwork today (Conventional view here). It is a bit ghostly in this format, appropriate for All Saints Day / Halloween week. I'll post the runner-up shots tomorrow.
A curious characteristic of blurry photos is that the thumbnails are instantly recognizable, and I sometimes wondered if the thumbnail was of a conventional photo.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mainport by Inntel Hotels, A Member of Design Hotels, Rotterdam, The Netherlands in April 2016. A special hotel which offers access to a special location in the Inner Harbour, Rotterdam. A Design Hotel, a memorable hotel.
Additional Data points about this Design Hotel include:
Architect: MAS Architects
Interior Architect: Feran Thomassen
Fascinating: Each floor offers a different theme from
around the world based on travel.
Location: On the banks of the river Maas and offers sweeping views over the city and harbour.
Owner: Karin Geurtz / Inntel Hotels Group
The hotel stands proudly as one of the Originals located in Rotterdam. The Gateway to the World.
We would highly recommend this Design Hotel when visiting this fascinating city.
The dancers were dancing in the sunset light to waltzes in French and German, the strains of that old music gave a feeling out of time to the evening.

Luau-themed or Hawaiian-themed parties can be differentiated from authentic luaus by a lack of traditional food and techniques as described above. These parties range dramatically in their range of dedication to Hawaiian traditions. For example, some extravagant affairs go so far as to ship food from the islands, while others settle for artificial leis, maitais, and a poolside atmosphere. None of these are considered Luaus by purists, or tourists.
