The MotorcycleCloseouts gang dropped by the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Lawrence, Kansas to view the many makes and models that appear every February at the AMCA Santa Fe chapter's bike show.
British motorcycles were the featured theme this year with a special honor being given to Ralph Wayne and his 20 years of supporting motorcyclists of all types with his backyard nationals.

Back in week two I commented that we hadn't had any snow around these parts but just endless rain. Well, it has barely stopped since then. Because of that large parts of the country are currently below water.
The picture above isn't of a river or lake but of a field, now well and truly submerged. If you spin 180 degrees from where this was taken then you'd see that the field on the other side of the road is also below water. It is the same for miles around.
As you can see from the blue sky things are actually quite nice right now!

Drive along any street in Montréal in autumn and it's an artist's paradise; lining both sides is a painter's palette of rich golds, flaming reds, titian and bittersweet oranges - some so bright that you might think there are flat leaf-shaped pumpkins hanging in the trees. A short drive out to apple country or another quick drive in another direction, to ski country, and you have showy tapestries of intense hues stretched out as far as the eye can see.
Québec's seasons, like its people, are very defined, definite and intensely passionate about everything. Sympathetic and soft-hearted spring, while short lived, is heralded by all with such intense gratitude after the long, snowy and bitter winter that you would think Mother Nature would be more sympathetic the following winter and give us gentler conditions. The summers are hot, fiery and sultry; cherished and well celebrated as is evidenced by the countless diverse festivals, night life and party atmosphere.
But autumn...as unique and as special as each of the other three seasons, autumn is the most colourful. In so many ways: with the ever changing foliage, the noisy departure of the noble Canada geese, the rising thermometer, teasing us into thinking - no, hoping, that perhaps winter is still a long way off. Or maybe, it will pass us by this time? Your wish is not granted - the temperature plummets, the winds change. At first, crisp and fresh but suddenly one night, penetrating and fierce. The leaves have lost their radiance and now brown and withered, are ripped from their branches. They wait to be blanketed by snow.

Thorpe Park is a theme park in Chertsey, Surrey, England. Thorpe Park has frequent buses from Staines. It was built in 1979 on the site of a gravel pit which was partially flooded, creating a water-based theme for the park. The park's first large roller coaster, Colossus, was added in 2002. In 2007, Tussauds was bought out by Merlin Entertainments.

I decided to make the most of the rare sunshine and get out in the garden for this week's shot.
The resident green-thumbed expert tells me these are native Bluebells rather than the more common Spanish Bluebells, and as such they should be looked after as they are becoming endangered.

For a dance party themed "dress like you did as a teen" I quickly busted out this Sharpie shirt for The Cure. My friends and I did make shirts like these for our favorite albums back in high school, but usually Bauhaus or something like that.
