Watching For Poppy

Project 52

Week 25/52

Week 25's theme is - About Him

Catcher In My Eye Photography

It's all about their Poppy! No matter what I do with the Grandkids or even BUY the Grandkids, they all WATCH IN WAIT for their Poppy to come home from working!

I'm happy that all six Grand kids love their Poppy!

Happy Father's Day to our family Dads & your Dad!

Very loose sketches for a commissioned web page theme. All were inspired by well known street artists. One became the basis for the theme. Can you figure out which one? :)

Moroccan Theme Live Buffet, Tagines, Couscous and Belly dancers in Boca West Country club, Boca Raton, Florida

The Rumah Terbalik upside down house has in its grounds a gift shop that carries a rather upmarket range of choice gifts. It also has a bakery where once can enjoy freshly baked goodies. I bought a couple of wooden photo frames of the Proboscis Monkey, but did not indulge in the baked goodies. I did visit the nature themed washroom though., and here is a view of it. Nice touch of nature while answering the call of nature! (Kota Kinabalu, East Malaysia, Nov. 2013)

A selection of photos I took for the Stockholm 24hour photomarathon 2015. A fantastic event and I must say that the analogue class, even though it was the hardest, it was also incredible fun and challenging. Same procedure next year :)

This was the back drop to the" Iron Chef cook off" hosted by Billy Costa. It was a benefit for the Big Brothers Association Of Boston and was held at Cyclorama building. There were large murals of colonial streets of Boston, authentic lamp post with custom street signs, garden gates and up lights.

Dummy cake (styrofoam!) decorated with hops and barley for a beer themed fundraiser

Pillows that Justine brought back from the UK for us in return for cat sitting.

This is the theme park on the Sunny Gold Coast ( Dreamworld ) and had plenty of rides for the young and old.

Taken at Dreamworld, Gold Coast, Queensland in 2012.

Close-up detail of the horse cake.

Uh oh, it's happening again - I see a theme developing. This week it appears to be selective colour, which people seem to either love or hate in equal measure. I like it but will be the first to admit it's easy to get carried away. Which I usually do.

There's nothing premeditated about having two colour popped shots in a row, it's just where my gut feeling has taken me that last couple of days when I'm processing my 365s.

You've probably guessed by now that the weather today . . . it's not the best. In fact it's been pissing it down for most of the morning. Not that this has stopped me and Joe having a blast, we've been on the sofa (again!) watching Transformers - the original series I might add, not the new movie, which I'm undecided on as to whether it's good or a disgrace to my favourite childhood toys.

The shot itself is taken through our kitchen window, with me outside getting wet :-). The letters are real, they belong to the boys. They stick to surfaces like glass when they're wet so I stuck 'em on the inside of the window to make the picture more interesting.

I took this photo quite early this morning, and it's been nice the last couple of days to get my shot and upload it earlier than usual so I've got my evenings free. Last night I got to cosy up on the sofa with Lydia and watch Dude, Where's My Car? - not the most highbrow of viewing matter but quite funny in places. Reminded me in equal parts of Bill & Ted's, American Pie and Wayne's World. But not as good as any of those.

The point is, it was great to be able to mong out on the sofa with my missus. And I have a real treat lined up for tonight - Rambo 4! Oh yes, I cannot wait to sit down and watch some old-school, back to the 1980s, the way it should be done proper gratuitous violence! The missus might not be quite so keen to cosy up for this flick . . .

It most definitely looks better viewed like this

A thank you bouquet for my friends, Remi and Derek, for letting me crash at their place.

For two cousins celebrating their birthdays together earlier this month.

The party theme was Flintstones. My mind drew a blank figuring out what to make. So I used the pattern on Fred & Pebble's outfits and Dino the dinosaur.

Happy birthday to Lucas & Chloe!

Visitors outside the Jurassic Park rapids ride in the Universal Studios adventure park in the Lost World zone. This is a ride where people get into a round raft that moves through fast moving water and was opened in March 2010. In between the ride takes visitors through different dinosaur zones with every intention of making the visitors wet. The ride can get very busy with long queues. Universal Studios Singapore is a theme park located within Resorts World in Singapore. It was opened to the public in a grand opening in 2011. Some of the major rides inside the park include Transformers, the roller coaster Battlestar Galactica, the dark and horror filled ride called Revenge of the Mummies, many smaller rides for children, a small attraction which mimics the creation of speciall effects in Hollywood for a hurricane in New York, and numerous other such attractions. There are a total of 7 zones, namely Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away, and Madagascar; each of these zones has their own themed attractions and rides. There are a large number of visitors who come to enjoy Univesal Studios, and it can get particularly bad on weekends with queues for the more popular rides.
