Still having fun manipulating images with lightroom, so I've decided to revisit some of the images with Georgi from our photoshoots last year. And to start with, Georgi outside in her elegant evening dress and matching necklace.
Yes, I am wearing a 1920s themed party outfit for the E.A. Poe Museum "Unhappy Hour." It was...interesting, to say the least. My sister and I had a great time together admiring the Poe manuscripts that were on display. As you all know, Poe has been the sole inspiration behind most of my custom Pullip dolls, so seeing his work in person was quite a big deal for me ^^
In other news, I'll be updating my Doll A Week within the next few days and I'll do my best to catch up on everyone's photos!! Sorry I've been absent this last week or so.
A while ago I had the pleasure of working with Leanne McGuire who was doing a gremlin themed shoot for her collage.

Theme for this week in the 52.5 of 2010 group is repetition, like the pilings under the Bailey Bridge that runs over North Bay connecting Lynn Haven and Southport. I used three ND filters to get it dark enough to get a 30-second time exposure to blur what little wave action that was under there. I'm starting to really like these time exposures but they do take some patience!
A little trivia for bridge lovers- This is actually the third bridge making this connection. The first was built as a wooden pier and extened to cross the bay in 1925. In 1946 the first concrete bridge with wooden pilings was built and named D. J. Bailey Memorial Bridge , named after a Lynn Haven Pioneer, it still stands now as a fishing bridge visible on the right side here. This is the newest, built in the late 90's I think, and is four lanes wide.
The Flickr Lounge, Glass (Monthly Theme) - OK, maybe this is a bit of a stretch as this is not a photography of a glass object per se, but I think that one of the best properties of glass is it's wonderful ability to both allow us to look out at the world from behind its shelter (as in this case) and to allow light into the space we're using. As far as I know the only way to portray this dual purpose quality is by ensuring multiple exposures in one image (no guarantee it would happen as and when required) or when the glass is wet, as in this image, shot through my car's windscreen.

Theme ..bathroom ISO 200 f3.2 1/80s
Our first group theme was a tricky one. I am far more comfortable outside shooting landscapes so it was a good challenge. The large aperture here allowed for some interesting bokeh.
Harambee's theme is Love Your Dragon and I made this stylized iridescent dragon scale texture for this sexy little dress. She comes in so many fits: Lara X & Petite, Legacy & Perky & Bombshell, Reborn & Waifu, Prima & Petite, Kupra, Erika and Star. All hunt items are in the main store somewhere! You just have to find them.
