This is a fun Harry Potter-themed MOC I finished in 2023.
It started as a set adaptation of 75980 Attack on The Burrow: first I wanted to create a 360* look, instead of a playset with an open backside. I decided to change much of the interiors as I wanted to add seperate rooms that needed to be accessible by a staircase. This meant a complete make-over of the set as a whole, which was a great puzzle to solve. I added double hinges to the folding mechanism, so that the dinner table and the master bedroom are bigger once opened.
The original house in the movie is only shown in a single shot, but it looks so whimsical and lived in. It was a great joy to put this MOC together.
The gorgeous goddess had long, long legs! We shot at both the beach and the ranch, with the gold 45 revolver cowgirl theme with the cowboy hat, and the beach theme with the black surfboard too!

I liked one of the stairs pics I took a few weeks back, and, with the encouragement of a friend, decided to make this a theme of mine going forward.
I usually look at the Macro Mondays weekly theme after the uploads have already started. This week, I happened to notice this on Saturday night, and it really interests me. A number of themes bear repeating, and some I missed completely. I hope to spend some time reviewing this list to see if any themes capture my mind or my delight mode.
Feeling a little guilty about buying the prepared pomegranate, I decided this week to buy a fresh one and get the seeds out myself.

I might just have to feel guilty next week ;)

Tribute To The Met Gala SL
I was inspired by all the amazing designs from the Met Gala. The strange thing for me it was not the celebs that grabbed my attention. It was actual gowns created by some amazing Chinese designers. The one in particular I haven't been in love with anything or anyone since my husband 30 years ago. God rest his soul. I will not reveal here as I am going to get it made if it's the last thing I do.
The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fund raising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. It marks the grand opening of the Costume Institutes annual fashion exhibit. Each year's event celebrates the theme of that year's Costume Institute exhibition, and the exhibition sets the tone for the formal dress of the night since guests are expected to choose their fashion to match the theme of the exhibit. Each year the event also has honorary celebrity event day chairpersons.

-Go by one colours (E.g, Red, Blue, Yellow) But be original!
-You must have the same colour eyeshadow, you can also have the same colour lipstick if you wish
-Make the tights look similar to the one in the example picture, all the way to the tip of your toes.
-Hair down.
-Plain White background.
-And most importantly have fun!

A bride and groom (Sandy and Mark) asked me if I could make a little garden on top of her wedding cake ~ sure! We went with the whole theme, including picket fences, potted flowers, stepping stones, "dirt" ~ the works. In addition, they requested asian style veggies (eggplant, turnips, chile, napa cabbage, etc) which challenged me a little ~ but very fun! The icing is buttercream, fondant picket fences, chocolate "rocks", crushed oreo cookie "dirt", marzipan veggies, and real spray roses in tiny galvanized pots
magic wands, swords and golden crowns with roses and tracys miniature butterflies. Sprinkled with holographic glitter. Cupcakes to go with my daughters disney princess sleeping beauty 6th birthday party

This is my ninth year covering this fun festival filled with color and pageantry and beautiful people. Each year some of the regulars return and sometimes fresh new faces appear to join the renaissance family. Some are vendors or employees, and some customers dress up to fit in with the renaissance festival fun and its 16th century way of life. One big happy family of a few thousand escaping the dull-drums of their daily life for a few hours. This year's crop of new faces was lovely. Hope you enjoy the images. I try to capture their joy. Always fun, festive and very colorful. Thanks very much for looking.
