-El pobre pichon estuvo todo el dia escondido sin emitir sonido alguno ,por el peligro de gavilanes mixtos que volaban cerca ., recien a ultima hora se asomo cuando escucho a su madre emitiendo un sonido para avisarle que le traia comida .! - the mother fed it when there was no sunlight ... and the calf stayed hidden all day ... there were hawks flying nearby- Thanks for your visits and comments ...!--- --The poor pigeon was hidden all day without emitting any sound, due to the danger of mixed hawks that flew nearby. He only appeared at the last minute when he heard his mother emitting a sound to warn him that he was bringing him food.

The Birds is a 1963 American horror, thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock, loosely based on the 1952 story of the same by Daphne du Maurier.
Du Maurier spent much of her life in Cornwall where most of her works are set. As her fame increased through her novels and the films based upon them, she became more reclusive.

This Catholic Church in Bodega, CA was featured in the Alfred Hitchcock film "The Birds".

Waiting to peck off the remains of the spiders and dead flies from the creepy contents of that Shed of Horrors.
Well expired Kodak Colour VR 200iso
Shot at Box Speed. Turned out much creepier than I had hoped! Wonderfully scratched too. Colour shifted.

Lighting: Daylight
No crop, no filter, reduced a little of the green tint in Photoshop.
Lab Developed. Film was well expired and it turned green after processed so I assume the film was exposed to heat at some point. Unless, anyone can tell me any different? When coloured film goes green and not brown after development.

Caught this group of birds flying high overhead above the trees. They were too far away and very high up, but I believe they were crows flying home to roost towards evening.

I shot this on one of my barn excusions in the country...I was driving down the road and noticed a sea of crows in the fields on each side of the road when all of the sudden they flew over the car in a swarm and landed in the trees nearby. The noise was like nothing I'd ever heard before! I slowly got out of the car, ready to shoot when I heard a loud SWOOOSH! and they all flew together out of the trees and across the sky as you see here.
Kind of a cheesy title but it was like a scene from that make-believe day on Bodega Bay.

My older Flickr contacts know that I struggle with monochrome but today I am stepping out of my comfort zone and posting a scene I came across whilst out walking. It was taken in the middle of the New Forest shortly after a large forest fire. The whole area turned black, most of the trees and shrubs had been burnt and reduced to charcoal. The weather was cold, grey and misty so there was no natural colour to play with, which made it slightly easier to edit.
"The Birds" is a horror story written by the British writer Daphne du Maurier, first published in 1952. The story is set in du Maurier's home county of Cornwall, shortly after the end of the second world war. A farmhand, his family and community come under lethal attack from flocks of birds. The story was the inspiration for Alfred Hitchcock's film The Birds, released in 1963.
