The Birds is a novelette by British writer Daphne du Maurier, first published in her 1952 collection The Apple Tree. It is the story of a farmhand, his family, and his community that are attacked by flocks of birds and seabirds in kamikaze fashion. The story is set in du Maurier's native Cornwall shortly after the end of the Second World War. The story was the inspiration for Alfred Hitchcock's film The Birds, released in 1963.

Back in college, we were given this old assed Movie, "The Birds" to watch. Now... being a thriller, horror lover, I was a bit... skeptical. But I watched it and cheesy yes, but one of the things that I think we all touched on, the fear, granted, not the best acting, but the fear was real because, it was a fear that very well COULD be real, it could happen to any of us. My new take.... let them come! Plus... it is a cool background! LOL

-El pobre pichon estuvo todo el dia escondido sin emitir sonido alguno ,por el peligro de gavilanes mixtos que volaban cerca ., recien a ultima hora se asomo cuando escucho a su madre emitiendo un sonido para avisarle que le traia comida .! - the mother fed it when there was no sunlight ... and the calf stayed hidden all day ... there were hawks flying nearby- Thanks for your visits and comments ...!--- --The poor pigeon was hidden all day without emitting any sound, due to the danger of mixed hawks that flew nearby. He only appeared at the last minute when he heard his mother emitting a sound to warn him that he was bringing him food.
