My fiance and took a little 3 day trip to New York City. He proposed to me in Little Italy :) We both had a very nice time. Though it was stressful because it was our first time there and we had no idea what we were doing or where we were going.

We got some lovely apple morning buns from Yamazaki Bakery in Little Tokyo. They are originally baked into a large ring which they call The Big Apple. It's delicious all toasted up for breakfast.

This poor woman ran in high heels, dodging traffic in a desperate effort to catch a cab, all in vain.

I saw her 20 minutes later, quite a few blocks away and she was still trying to get a cab.

City Hall Park is in the Civic Center section of Lower Manhattan between Broadway, Park Row and Chambers Street.

A wider panoramic view of the skyline of the southern tip of Manhattan, looking north-east from Ellis Island.

An even longer sentence for the description.

The 42-storey building on the left is Goldman Sachs Tower, the tallest building in New Jersey........Wikipedia

Located on the site of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City, the Freedom Tower the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the sixth-tallest in the world. The new skyscraper stands on the northwest corner of the 16-acre (6.5 ha) World Trade Center site, on the site of the original 6 World Trade Center. The building is bounded by West Street to the west, Vesey Street to the north, Fulton Street to the south, and Washington Street to the east. The tower is 1,776 ft tall, to symbolise the American year of independence.

The first 20 stories do not contain any office space and acts as a lobby. From the 20th floor upwards, the square edges of the tower's cubic base are chamfered back, shaping the building into eight tall isosceles triangles, or an elongated square antiprism.

Thought it might be fun to overlay my hand lettering over a shot I took of the NYC skyline last September.

The Chrysler Building figures prominently in this skyline shot.
