Captured this old fashion rose when taking a short cut between buildings on campus on June 23.
We don't really see many roses around the campus. These are out in the open, yet in a less traveled pathway.
They were a bit beat up maybe from our super hot May, or maybe its their location. Maybe I just found them as they were dying off, but there were still lots of buds yet to bloom.
Another iPhone Olloclip Macro, and iPad Snapseed edit.
Took a ride to the end of the line... Where no one ever goes... Ended up on a broken train with nobody I know...
These textures are quite large enabling you to download the large file and crop sections to use without loosing detail. Enjoy!

I couldn't resist! The fading paint, the texture of the wood, the lock hanging there all by itself... It demanded a photo.
This photo of the Hotel Vancouver (including bird and surrounding branches) was taken on my way home from work this evening. I grunged it up in Photoshop with some textures from some of my previous photos. Inspired largely by the wonderful images on Cate's photostream.
And apparently it's haunted ;)

My turn! I have seen others' of this pose and I love it.
I had my tripod set up in my wardrobe. My remote shutter in my right hand. My blinds are open at my feet letting in all the midday light.

. . an abbreviated form of a much-quoted phrase from the Christian New Testament in 1 Corinthians 13. The phrase is interpreted to mean that humans have an imperfect perception of reality.

Kazuri West's Texture Contest deadline is Oct 18th. Here's another place to go for unique texture-related ideas. Those of you that have my Shapes book, I have a section in the Surface Techniques chapter that uses stamps. This piece was made using those ideas with my Tango stamp. Here's the details on the contest: www.kazuriwest.com/helen-breil
