I finally did it. I took the book "the complete works of shakespeare" and took some shots. It was so much fun. The book is full of treasures and I am so glad we got it from my husbands grandma before she passed. I wish I would have been into photgraphy back then when we lived at her house, it was full of treasures everywhere.
I have always been in love with shakespeares work, back in school in english class we had a special task and I did really well on it, an essay and more it was fun, wonder if my mum still has my school work, it would be fun to read again :)

I couldn't help but wonder.. do these two really care about meeting up or are they more interested in their virtual lives?
Been having a couple self doubts today and yesterday, even though Im at a place where Im really excited for future possiblitys and who Im becoming! Its funny how negative people can effect you!
Imagine a world before the Internet, where there was hardly any form of communication amongst the crossdressing/transvestite community. All was not completely lost however. One single light in the UK during the 1980's and 90's was Swish Publications's "World of Transvestism" (or WOTV as it became abbreviated). A successor to the much earlier "Tranz" magazine, WOTV was published monthly, inside was an "Aladin's Cave" of letters, photos (black and white), occasionally stories and illustrations. The publishing quality was quite poor and WOTV was not cheap (I think it was £6 when I first started to acquire my own personal copies). The cover usually graced some of the more photogenic girls, many of whom I am pleased to say are on Flickr. In view of their privacy I shall not post those, but I would like to share this cover showing an example of the sorts of illustrations that were often printed.
Stockists were few in fact in my area there was only one newsagent that stocked maybe one or two copies a month, but one could travel to Swish's main store in Greek Street London, to purchase missing copies or "bargain bundles".
Sadly I now longer have the magazines, but I did scan all the covers and most of the images of some of the girls from those magazines. If you did appear and would either like a scan, or have no objection to your cover (or image) being published here, by all means get in touch. The issues I have scans from are below.

Part of a series of photographs of old books.
Visited the local second-hand bookshop last weekend. Explained to the owner what I had in mind and was directed to seven boxes of books all going to land-fill! I could help myself and was doing him a favour if I took anything. Came away with a bulging bag full. This creased page came from there.

Tried Googling why this text is set by the River Severn in Bewdley, but I'm none the wiser, apart from the areas industrial revolution past.

My dear contacts and visitors,
I have a great pleasure to present to you three, to me very dear, publications from the last year –
1) I already spoke about Arte Fotográfico edition. My copies vanished mysteriously somewhere between Madrid and Belgrade, but I managed to get a copy through different channels (thanks, Ana) :))) parts of which you can see here.
I want to thank Antonio Cabello, magazine director, and his team on an exquisite quality and the effort invested in this edition – for the first time I saw how some of my photos can look so good faithfully reproduced on paper. That’s something I think is every photographers dream :))
2) You might know that one incredible book, Mountains, published in USA last year in October – by one exceptional and fascinating woman, Sandy Hill. Publishing this book she managed to conquer one more Peak, and she did it without climbing this time :)) . Content is impressive, and so is the list of photographers included! Sandy picked one of my photos and earned my eternal gratitude! (Thanks for the party invitation, Sandy ;)))
3) Also in 2011. The book “Serbia: faces and places” was published in USA by Vladeta Rajić and Pulitzer-winning Bill Dorich. Thank you both for choosing my photos for this colorful and informative book! I hope it will paint more realistic image of life of Serbia today.
And finally, I have to thank all of you who managed to read this text to the end :)))
