I'm trying to get my camera program to process videos one frame at a time (which isn't as easy or obvious as it may seem) and so made a short video of our neighborhood as a test video. I saved frames as it was processing and so made a panorama out of the video.
The photos in this set were under exposed by two stops to compare the image noise of the Nikon D7000 at various ISO settings in an under-exposure situation. The image quality in terms of detail and noise looks generally alright until ISO 1600. From ISO 3200 onwards the noise starts to dominate more as ISO increases, with progressive loss of detail. At ISO 25600 there is considerable loss of detail and a lot of noise. My conclusion based on this test is that it is not advisable to go higher than ISO 1600 if the subject is going to be under exposed by two stops or so.
When properly exposed, there is little loss of detail and not much noise up to ISO 6400, based on another test - D7000 ISO performance at correct exposure.
Best viewed at full size. Photos taken with Nikon D7000 and Sigma 18-50 lens at f/9, aperture priority. No noise reduction. Light from a large window on camera left.

Atomic Testing Museum documents the work conducted at the Nevada Test Site and its impact on the nation. This interactive museum houses artifacts on loan from personal collections, the Smithsonian Institution, Lawrence Livermore Laboratory and pieces of the Berlin wall and World Trade Centers.
Testing out some of the new upgrades on my camera. It's a little confusing but it seems like they will be very handy! Wish I let the first test run longer I think it turned out pretty good. (it's the first part of this movie)

This is my first test of my home made macro lense.
I made from a Tamron 70-300mm lense extended to 300mm and then taped my Canon 50mm backwards to the end of the Tamron.
I was really inpressed by how close you can get with it, however the depth of field is about as deep as a piece of paper.
Left flash is Nissin w/on-camera -3.0 exposure, 50mm zoom, plastic diffuser, Right flash is YN at lowest power level in S2 slave mode with wide lens dropped down
