What the heck?
I'll tell ya what the heck:
Test prints are an integral and often surprisingly beautiful and playful part of the hand printed process. They are never ever the same, and therefore true, one-of-a-kind, individual Monoprints. Made from varied layers and layers of inks from different print runs to check colors, clean out a messy screen and a dozen other reasons, Test Prints are spontaneously created and basically, magical. Hence once a test print is sold, that's it, gone baby.
I keep a few with me in the studio while printing and every now and then one looks suddenly nice & done. Like this one!

After staying after school many times, I finally remembered my camera to take some close up photos of speakers and microphones, oh, how inventive :P
On a sunny afternoon DRS 37038 with 37610 tailing leads Serco Test Train 1Q86 04:30 Selhurst T&RSMD to Eastleigh via Exeter pass Test Lane Nature Reserve, Redbridge on 15th March 2010.
Testing Canon defaults. This one needed some sensor adjustments and a bit less haste (thus the blur).
Testing the ISO performance on my new 1D mark III, seems to be pretty decent. The model is Sveppi (lying on the floor). This picture is taken on ISO 3200...

Tested the 70-300 VR, the lens is quite good but at 300mm its simply not sharp enough!
Shot hand-held @ F9 300mm with VR on! Oh and its a crop @ 100% :-)
Will try with a tripod next time hehe...
Leica M9 with a Leica Visoflex 3 and the original 200mm f/4.5 Telyt lens @ f/4.5. The original 200mm Telyt was the first true telephoto lens made for the Leica. This is one of my first test shots, and I think it's going to be an interesting lens to play with. The minimum distance is 300cm, or nearly 10 feet. The copy I just purchased includes the lens hood.
so this is the best one out of the set i took tonight. great article andwhynot wrote up, really gave alot of insight. decided to through one up since i will be at track all day tomorrow. tripod is visible from light from stupid street lamps that popped on after being off forever. had a problem early on with light spill, so made a blocker. came out decently. will be back out for another test tomorrow night most likely.

Test describes thsi picture very well. I found this old ice-glasses (turned out to be my dad's), and tested if they fit (yes, they do, very well). Then I was to lazy to search a mirror, and tested if my cam can do it (yes, it can). Then I tested how to do a colormapping in Gimp, and well... this is the result. I post it here jsut to see if someone has some tips or questions on one of the above topics, since from a photography standpoint this picture is really crappy...

CWU-27/P Flight Suit
The CWU-27/P summer flight suit, Astrocom headset, and GS/FRP-2 summer gloves on display were utilized by aeronautical engineer Dr. Everette Adams while he worked with the 418th Flight Test Squadron, 412th Test Wing based at Edwards Air Force Base, California. During the 1990s Adams worked as a civilian engineer on the test programs for Lockheed MC-130H Hercules Combat Talon II and the Lockheed AC-130U Spooky II where he occasionally participated in test flights.
The 418th Flight Test Squadron was formed in 1992 when the 418th Bombardment Squadron was merged with the 6518th Test Squadron. The new squadron's first assignments were the Combat Talon Il and Spooky II programs. Over time, the squadron's mission expanded significantly, conducting test flights on various training, tanker, and airlift aircraft, including planes as small as the two-person Beechcraft T-6 Texan II trainer and as large as the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy transport, one of the world's largest aircraft.
