Parkour is training using buildings to jump, balance, run, dance, and flip. It’s all the rage in NYC. I
had to check it out firsthand. After meeting Sarah, it’s now all my rage, too. First, I believe if you’re
going to do something, do it well, but also look good while doing it. And, second, if you’re going to work
out using buildings, wear the rad-est shoes possible. Umm, Sarah, check and freaking check!

A very low-tech test shot of the Keay Street diorama, with the bits I've made so far fairly crudely set up in place, to get a rough idea how things might look (and the giant Venetian blind at the rear won't be making an appearance in the final pictures....). The terrace of houses at the rear of the picture needs windows and interiors/a roof, chimneys, etc, the whole right side of the factory on the street needs building, and the windows need finishing, drainpipes, etc, adding - so a huge amount of work still to be done...

This shot has been taken from moving bus using 24-70mm f/2.8 and P-series Cokin cicular polarizeer and ND4 grad filter.
As the shot has been taken wide open at 24mm the P-series Cokin filter is unfortunately causing large "vignetting" type shadows which go away once I go a bit more narrow (like 30 mm) on my 24-70. Any recommendations for filter solution that would work better with 24-70 as I'm not willing to change this AMAZING lens but very willing to change the filter system I use? I'm not looking for anything super-fancy, just something that would allow usage of circular polarizer together with different type ND grad filters (or multiple ND grad filters at once) would be sufficient. Seems that simples choice would be upgrade to Cokin Z-pro series but is that the most reasonable choice?
So once again, the back corners are NOT due to 24-70mm vignetting but due to the P-series Cokin filter holder that simply is not "wide enough" for the 24-70mm lens in FX body.

Formula One Testing, Bahrain Test One, Day Three, Friday 21st February 2014. Sakhir, Bahrain.
The splashing of this common garter snake caught my attention as is swam searching for food and testing the water with its tongue. I was rather fascinated by it as it dove underwater and sometimes under the silt. Occasionally it would pop up with a big tadpole. He was hard to photograph because he was very fast slipping quickly behind grass, under water and the sun glared on its wet skin.

Okay, so ive not posted anything for a long long time. Ive been super busy doing various bits of video work.
Luckily this work has enabled me to be able to purchase a battery for my bowens lights as well as finally get my hands on the beautiful 5D MKII.
So today, whilst the sun was out, I grabbed my pal Oli to go have a quick test with the new gear. It was definitely a learning curve. Cant wait to experiment with some proper shoots
Test roll: almost all images are ruined. On the lower & left side of the negative. Why, I don't know. (BTW some images don't have this problem.) What's happened??
On my way home with my new wide angle lens, stopped at a weinerschnitzel for some chilidogs and test shots :)
The only thing visible above water at the EMEC tidal test site - these are the pilings for one specific turbine. We were told three others are also being tested on site, but all evidence of them was hidden below the water...
