Testing the new Canon 7DmkII for detail and noise. This image is mostly untouched except for some basic adjustments such as CA, distortion, etc. Minimal sharpening and noise reduction resulted in a very clean image with lots of detail.

Actually, it's a placeholder, for some occasion when I want to discreetly slip in a new pic without it showing up at the top of the stream. But in the meantime, it's also a test. The question is, will a nonphoto get any views/comments/etc.? If it does, will it do better than some of the photos I thought were worth posting?? If so, maybe I'll publish a mini treatise with some sort of heavy, scientific-sounding title, something about anomalous viewing behavior on a photographers' global networking website. With something about Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle thrown in for good measure. Then again, maybe not ...
