Sparrow B whispered: Gardener, why do we have to fly so far to get an organic drink? If we stay Mr. Might-be Vampire might bring his organic produce and I might even make a drink out from it!
Gardener: You think so?
Sparrow B: Yes, as long as he doesn't want me to cook but let me put the produce into a blender? Extract the good stuff from the fruit, then add some organic cane sugar and water, keep the drink in a bottle then put in the fridge, i am sure i can make a drink that tastes as refreshing as this is.
Gardener: Oh you are thinking about that.
Sparrow B: Then what are you thinking?
Gardener: I am thinking about this - if we stay, will he meet us?
Sparrow B: That's boring! We have been thinking or had been thinking whatever tense I don't care, about this all these months. We should be thinking of something else! I'm sure Mr. Blackbird will be amazed that not only I am a good cook, I can come up with such brilliant ideas about making drinks!
Gardener: You are still in a positive mood huh?
Sparrow B: What else can I do? Had to follow you to such a concrete, glass, many people place. No tree in sight. No sparrow too. Only artificial birds? So big that I don't feel safe flying next to it. If I keep thinking along this line, then I will miss my sparrow friends and BB even more.
Gardener: ...
Sparrow B: By the way have you checked where this drink comes from?
The gardener turned the bottle and had a look: Oh it's where we were a few hours ago!
Sparrow B: Oh! That means, THAT - is the right place to produce such drinks! No lack of ingredients! Hopefully someday, our small lemon tree will give us some fruits, and I will be able to make such a drink!
Gardener: Huh? Not depending on Mr. Might-be Vampire's produce? A minute ago you were thinking about that? Now, thinking of being self-sufficient? I think he has more citrus plants than I did.
Sparrow B: You have NOT visited him for such a L O N G time. How do you know those citrus plants are still doing well? Maybe he only focus on growing greenhouse vege and forgot to take care of the outdoor ones? We must always have a backup plan. Surely Mr. Blackbird will like me for thinking about this - THAT I do not rely on them for the ingredients to be a good cook!
(Sometime later, Mr. Might-be Vampire's household folks - Mr. Blackbird, the dog Carrot, and the owner read the above conversation)
Mr. Might-be Vampire: What do you all think?
Carrot: Yes, I like the part that shows Sparrow B's self-reliant. But I have a nagging thought.
BB: About what?
Carrot: Owner? Are you thinking what I am thinking?
Mr. Might-be Vampire: Don't like the idea of having my produce blended? Feels a bit too ...
Carrot: Yep. I know your feeling. Don't have to spell out. So if it's going into the blender, it's better that they bring their own, wait for their little lemon tree to flower and fruit.
