... portrayed on a long trans-Pacific flight in a Fed-Ex cargo plane. I just finished watching a wonderful movie with Tom Hanks called Cast Away. It's available at Netflix, Amazon, Hastings and a hundred more places. No matter how you feel about tense, endurance movies you can't help but like this personal adventure with a very sad love story attached. Ordinary people making extraordinary decisions, might be one tag.

southern ontario canada gets whacked

by a massive freak storm that spawns

tornados in toronto and surrounding towns.

torontoist.com/2009/08/tornado_soup.php

note the bolt at :27 seconds. was rather close.

also the flashing red street lights in the intersection (kipling/queensway)

left corner of the video

were actually wind damaged and hanging by a wire.

lets just say it was a rather tense drive for anyone caught in the storm... particularly when you see a funnelish like cloud going north up the 427 to basically drop on a bunch of homes in vaughan. still amazed canada's wonderland was spared... despite that, very interesting how guests at the theme park were treated while the immediate community was being ripped apart:

Tense moments during the birth.

GRATUITOUS CUSTOM DREADNOK GROUP SHOT!!!!!!!!!!

..at Freddie's Beach Bar.

Others probably can't see it so much as I do.. but I can see how tense she is here. Her body is working really hard, and she was amazing.

This labor was different than the others we've had with other dogs. Lucy was like Michelle Dugger - she was great at being pregnant and having babies.

Chrissy was carrying a lot of puppies (almost twice as many as Lucy ever carried in one litter) and her labor was... well, labor..

I lay on the bed with her for over 2 hours this morning, rubbing her belly before her first puppy was born.. She worked hard and we could see it.
