... portrayed on a long trans-Pacific flight in a Fed-Ex cargo plane. I just finished watching a wonderful movie with Tom Hanks called Cast Away. It's available at Netflix, Amazon, Hastings and a hundred more places. No matter how you feel about tense, endurance movies you can't help but like this personal adventure with a very sad love story attached. Ordinary people making extraordinary decisions, might be one tag.

Charlottesville VA, August 12, 2017. A tense atmosphere in Charlottesville as the Unite the Right came armed and ready to fight. We were with the march that was rammed by a car, killing and injuring protesters. We were far enough back that we didn't see it. Just heard sounds and rushed in confusion with the others off the street. We heard calls for Medics and figured out what had happened. On the way out of town we saw a car with front end damage pulled over by the Police and a man in handcuffs, it took a second but then we realized that must have been the killer.
This is a vintage marquee sign from what used to be the Lyric movie theater in Lapeer. The theater was built in the 1920's and closed down in the 1970's. It at first only ran silent films of course, but in 1928 it began to run the new "talkies". From what I could gather, it became a mall of some sort. I found this in an antique store (Past Tense) /Cider Mill hanging above the doorway and I thought it was cool ....even though all the lights were out of it :) I have a few more of these vintage signs to post later on!
This old guy seems so tense. Do you know why? Because whatever source of income he has is stopped, due to lockdown and now he is alone far away from his family. Right now he is in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Alone thinking about his village and his family. He is not the only one, there would be many like him. If we go out and try to find who are stuck in lockdown there would be many like him, starving, depressed, and tense, away from family. And he might don’t have ration card to use government given subsidy, there would be many in Mumbai who don’t have ration card to enjoy the benefits given by government.

Others probably can't see it so much as I do.. but I can see how tense she is here. Her body is working really hard, and she was amazing.
This labor was different than the others we've had with other dogs. Lucy was like Michelle Dugger - she was great at being pregnant and having babies.
Chrissy was carrying a lot of puppies (almost twice as many as Lucy ever carried in one litter) and her labor was... well, labor..
I lay on the bed with her for over 2 hours this morning, rubbing her belly before her first puppy was born.. She worked hard and we could see it.
I have been feeling a little tense that it is less than 2 weeks till I leave on a big overseas trip and I don't know what colours are going to be in my palette. Well tonight I made the final decisions. The shocking thing is that I am not taking Quin Burnt Orange or Cobalt Deep Blue …well not as separate colours. They will be there in my mixed "steel's grey". This means that I am taking Transparent Red Oxide instead..the big battle between TRO and QBO had a surprising result. I um-ed and ah-ed about the greens and in the end Jadeite won…even though it has some fun granulating effects.(can always buy a pan of W&N if it doesn't work out) I just love Indanthrone BLue and use it often to mix my blacks..so it took the place of the second green. Also I have a hankering for a mixed purple in my palette.
WHilst there is little merit in sharing these messy mixing pages with you all as such, I hope that you can understand the process that I am going through. I am testing the colours and my standard mixes to see what are the most versatile.
I am very excited about my radical palette change in recent weeks - the colours I am getting on my page (on the rare occasions when I get a chance to sketch) feel so vibrant and fresh and new… and hoping they will lead to a new step in my painting when my holiday (vacation) begins next week.
Now my only decision is how many pans of each to take….
