Marie is originally from Denmark. She came to the U.K in 1979 and found work in a store of the era called 'The Danish Food Centre' here in Manchester.
Marie and her husband have made their living from the food industry and after living and working in various parts of the country, have now settled in Lancashire.
I asked Marie's permission for this photo while we shared a table with her outside Starbucks "St Anne's Square". Her reaction was quite positive, but I noticed she appeared a little tense and this showed in the first few shots I took of her. I asked her to try and ignore the camera and talk to me as if it wasn't there, but she wasn't too keen on the idea of looking at the camera and talking, so I took advantage of the opportunity of giving her one of my business cards after explaining the project, to snap this shot while she was putting her reading glasses on.
I rather like it, she seems so much more at ease here and the addition of her reading glasses has added to her character and the shot!

Terminal for the former Meigs Field Airport (Designed by Consoer & Morgan in 1961 and now serving as a Chicago Park District fieldhouse for Northerly Island)
*Although closed in 2003 and with its former runaways replaced with prairie and lawn, there is still a group of supporters (Friends of Meigs Field) who hope to reopen the airport in the future.

... portrayed on a long trans-Pacific flight in a Fed-Ex cargo plane. I just finished watching a wonderful movie with Tom Hanks called Cast Away. It's available at Netflix, Amazon, Hastings and a hundred more places. No matter how you feel about tense, endurance movies you can't help but like this personal adventure with a very sad love story attached. Ordinary people making extraordinary decisions, might be one tag.
Long story short.......I had a little blow up with my sister in law.....wasn't going to go to a party but I did.....Kila watched me like a hawk......this is my husbands hand trying to keep her from coming over to me....it was like she knew things were tense.....anyway...I am glad I went.....because my Kila would protect me....
Casa Amatller was designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch for chocolatier Antoni Amatller and was constructed between 1898 and 1900. Although Puig's style separated him significantly from his contemporary GaudÃ, their relations were neither tense nor problematic.
Others probably can't see it so much as I do.. but I can see how tense she is here. Her body is working really hard, and she was amazing.
This labor was different than the others we've had with other dogs. Lucy was like Michelle Dugger - she was great at being pregnant and having babies.
Chrissy was carrying a lot of puppies (almost twice as many as Lucy ever carried in one litter) and her labor was... well, labor..
I lay on the bed with her for over 2 hours this morning, rubbing her belly before her first puppy was born.. She worked hard and we could see it.

This is a picture in a series of five. During a snow storm I thought it'd be blast to do a lifestyle photoshoot with some Abercrombie and Bukcle gear. The set-up was is a Nikon D800 with an off-camera flash and umbrella. Once again these are all selfies.
