Lai Haraoba is a public festival in Manipur, India celebrated to please traditional deities. The festival is in part a recollection of the creation stories played the deities with the first origin of this universe and evolution of the plants and animals through the will of Atiya Shidaba.[1] Translated, Lai Haraoba means "merry making of the Gods."[
The temporary bridge is lifted into place across the River Eamont at Pooley Bridge, Ullswater, Cumbria. The old stone arched bridge was washed away as a result of Winter Storm Desmond. The engineering project has been made possible by Cumbria County Council bringing in specialist bridging contractors Mabey Hire and Cumbrian construction firm Story Contracting: 28 February 2016
