so many big leaf maple seedlngs sprouting everywhere. almost none of them will make it to adulthood, like much of nature I guess.
The largest remaining estate of the post war “prefab” temporary homes. Cities all over Britain used to be covered with these cleverly designed little buildings which were quickly built to replace homes destroyed by wartime bombing. At the time they were quite luxurious compared to most pre-war and Victorian homes many residents are still happy living in them today even though they were only designed to last a decade.
It’s also very interesting to see how the different residents have adapted and decorated their homes in their individual styles.
Lewisham council and the L&Q housing association have been trying to clear the whole estate for a number of years now. Back in March 2014 I went to have a look and take some photos before it was all gone, but nearly two years later the majority of the prefabs are still standing. Unfortunately many are now empty and the whole estate is beginning to look very run down. On the plus side, at least one has been listed!
Every year we get lots of temporary waterfalls as the NW rains fall and snow melts up on the mountains and even down here in the lower elevations occasionally,

The temporary library at Harewood House will close on Thursday 29 January at 2pm.
It will open in its new home on the Ridgeway on Monday 2 February at 2pm

The 13 incher previously holed up in our bedroom is making a cameo appearance as our main TV while we look at our options.
Currently I'm leaning towards the budget-concious 26-32 inch LCDs such as the Westinghouse and Vizio.

...man, it's been such a headache moving so that we can get renovations done to our house (this shot is taken from the balcony of the apartment we are staying at). It was so sudden too... my parents decided on a whim that they're going to destroy the entire interior of our house so that we can update everything (our house was stuck in the 70s, but not in the good way). I know that it's totally needed, but the timing is so off right now (MIDTERMS). RAAAAARGH.... suffice to say, I haven't had time for much doll-ing...
