This morning I woke up to news of Possible river flooding due to rain and melting snow. I went to nearby Sheboygan Falls to check out the situation . The river was not as dramatic as had been predicted, but it was still interesting. As it was a gray day with drizzle, I decide to shoot in b&w mode.
The ducks are resting on a small island in the middle of the river. The island is surrounded by rushing water and floating ice.

How disruptive, having to move away from where we normally have our meals together. A kitchen renovation has turned our daily routine upside down. On the flipside, we've discovered that the light over here in the library is somehow warmer. This temporary bokeh is a nice trade-off too.

As I walked back to my car from a shoot, a Robin flew onto a post at my immediate left. I swung the camera round, fired one shot -thankfully the lens was set to autofocus - and he was gone.
I was very surprised that it wasn't blurred. The pink shape behind was a lady in a bright top using an outdoor exercise machine
Amtrak’s eastbound Southwest Chief spends some extra time in Lamy, New Mexico. Due to a failed locomotive, the train is having an extended stay here. Across the street at the Legal Tender Saloon, business was brisk. After a great dinner there, it was nice to walk around the train. Rough night for all the workers involved though. Amtrak and restaurant.

Heavy rain over Death Valley National Park on October 18 created the temporary Lake Manly on the Badwater Salt Flats. This causes the salt flats to become resurfaced with a new layer of white rock salt as the salty water dries, so instead of the dirty, dusty surface that has been common in recent years, Badwater should look very different this year.
Iceberg in Jokulsarlon Lagoon. Moments after the shot was captured the ice boulder fell off the iceberg and broke up, so I feel very fortunate to have captured this temporary balancing arrangement.
These Houses were built between the 1920s and the 1940s.Some have been regenerated while others have been boarded-up and awaiting demolition.....Hull City Council as allocated ten of these Houses to be temporary used by Graffiti artists to help spruce up and add a bit of colour to this run-down estate until demolition starts on them.

Because of the Howard Street Tunnel’s closure to make the tunnel larger to fit Double Stacked Intermodal Trains, Trains can no longer travel North of Downtown Baltimore. Because trains such as I032 and I031 cannot reach Bayview Yard to receive it’s Baltimore intermodal loads and locations north of Baltimore such as Philadelphia,PA and Trenton,NJ, CSX has come up with a temporary plan for these high priority intermodal trains to still be able to bring Intermodal to Baltimore. These trains will temporarily end their route in Curtis Bay Baltimore (A Yard South of Downtown Baltimore and the Howard Street tunnels). Because all intermodal traffic has been moved to Curtis Bay, the local known as Y131 now brings I031’s loads into Curtis Bay from the Seawall branch line that connects to the yard that before the tunnel closure only got autorack locals. CSX has set up a Temporary intermodal Ramp next to the autorack ramp that this train is bringing these cars from.
