I thought I was done with the drama of this storm passing to the north. Apparently not - this portrait frame kept nagging at me so here it is.

Even though it's very similar to an image posted previously, I quite like the rocks and the wash in the foreground.

While waiting on the Subway platform the announcement came over the P.A. system " Due to a sick passenger we are experiencing delays on all uptown service". It was in that moment I snapped this image. I love her expression because it really capture the emotion I was feeling at that time…. I was waiting for the same train.

When I visited Cape Kiwanda a storm had just passed and the seas were rough. after taking this photo I was soaked to the waist by a wave I didn't see in time to move so I held on to the tripod and stood my ground. I was a bit more careful after that : )

The Tempest is possibly the final and last play wirtten by William Shalespear. William Shakespeare never published any of his plays and therefore none of the original manuscripts have survived. Eighteen unauthorised versions of his plays were, however, published during his lifetime in quarto editions by unscrupulous publishers.

Another fabulous picture from Ivoni MIles - thank you :)

One of the beautiful place in Iceland, yet the forceful waves can be dangerous and turn lethal in seconds.

I actually haven't seen that many people do his red and black design, so here's my attempt. This is also an entry to Ben's contest. Hope you like him! #EagleLand400

Perque les tempestes van i venen,

perque els camins son d'anada i tornada.

Bon cap de setmana a tothom.

Porque las tormentas van y vienen,

porque los caminos son de ida y vuelta.

Buen fin de semana a todos.

"Our revels now are ended. These our actors,

As I foretold you, were all spirits, and

Are melted into air, into thin air:

And like the baseless fabric of this vision,

The cloud-capp'd tow'rs, the gorgeous palaces,

The solemn temples, the great globe itself,

Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve,

And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,

Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff

As dreams are made on; and our little life

Is rounded with a sleep."

Shakespeare, The Tempest, Act 4, scene 1, 148–158.

The Tempest

Was a miserable, rainy start to the day when I got to Walberswick this morning, then just as I was thinking of leaving the sky turned rather nice.

One from the archives. Shot on my Fuji X-T2.

This image was shot on the day I decided to take a break from posting images on Social Media, it's also a metaphor for what I was feeling that day.

The Tempest in this context is a song title from Mike Oldfield's orchestral album 'Music of the Spheres'. Kind of fits given the spherical rock too...

Might be a little overcooked just to give the image more drama.

Was up about 6 times last night. Mia getting more and more restless at night. Can't wait till she sleeps the whole night through.

If anyone is thinking of coming to Japan, there is no better time to come. Lack of tourist is the main thing! :P
