Folger Shakespeare Library curator of books Steven Galbraith demonstrates Renaissance-era printing techniques. Photo by Claire Duggan.

Liz used various techniques that Stephanie suggested including cutting up a strong fabric like the batik and cutting the seedheads from different fabrics. Some of them don't have stems and Liz added strips of organza.

Two High is a new font in Swooshable's font directory. Variants have been floating around a long time, but I think the original version can be attributed to William Howard.

You can write with this font using Swooshable's Font Tester. I appreciate any feedback, yay/nay and links, so please let me know if you have any thoughts.

Price: AUD$149.99

This is the latest set in the Winter Village range and is also part of the new adult range of sets, thus the dark packaging.

The set has four elf Minifigs and a new reindeer which is a cool new mound. The Minifigs have already been photographed for later in the year, as well as the reindeer. The Minifigs torsos have prints front and back and two of the Minifig heads have two faces.

There are number of micro builds, the plane and ship which are both perfect for me to use in other photos on our feeds. I love the new brick built PC with it’s ’Nice List’, which is a sticker unfortunately, but like the micro builds this will be used in photos on Rainbows social media feeds.

The build as a whole was fun, as the Winter Village builds are. There are some play features, which are not easy to use with my big boy hands, but I’m sure other will make good use of them. Wake up the elf’s by turning the clock or drop a waffle into the pan on the oven.

The build has some nice details throughout including the present wrapping area, which uses car doors in a different way. The rooflines are created very nicely and is a technique what can be used in other MOCs.

It will fit in well with all the previous Winter Village sets, or could be the start of a great new Christmas tradition. We have often used them as a centerpiece at Christmas and will no doubt again.

This time I had an aftermarket bounce flash to use in the gym - much better lighting this time, and so much less grainy!

This character was a result of various techniques and ideas. I wanted to make a green character featuring the Zaktan piraka spine. I had a lot of green in the color palette which reminded me of Umbra from the original Bionicle line released in 2007.

If you have been following me, you Probably have seen the original image in this series. Just titled "Indigo Bunting" I was looking into different photo techniques used in photoshop and came up with the Lomo effect (Based on the Lomo Camera, with cross processing and the Orton Effect, based upon 2 exposures. One Blurred, and one not. The Lomo makes the image a little more harsh, but none the less interesting to me. The Orton Effect Has more of a painterly feel to it. Almost an HDR, but losing the detail that the HDR Generates. Please take a look at the full series, and let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Documenting fonts. This one is simple - I call it Twobytwo since it is based on a simple grid where one pixel is a 2x2 brick. Details on Swooshable.

Second shot.

This is the panning technique where we follow the moving target with the camera trying to capture it in focus while blurring the background to convey the feeling of movement. It was a difficult shot as I only had a small window between trees, was close to the road and cars were coming fast (>100km/h). I was surprised that the antenna is in focus.

Card made using "coffee filter technique" from Penny Ward on Operation Write Home Tutorial. I didn't have coffee filters so I used Tim Holtz tissue tape and reinkers in rusty hinge, peeled paint, wild honey and dried Marigold. Image is colored with primsacolor pencils and blending pen. Leaves are Tim Holtz decorative strip. Sentiment from MFT. Background stamp is clear embossed with Hero Arts Sweet Threads Antique, but you can't even see it so I used an embossing folder from Sizzix.

a brush technique from the okami!

Here's how boots.com packed three LEGO sets for me. As you can see, the abundant use of pink tape means these are completely unsuitable as gifts now.

I used a compositional technique of leading lines. It makes my photo better by leading you straight to my subject. This is my best photo because it helps show emotion through the photo. It also shows the best compositional strategies.. The leading lines go into the distance meeting the subject at a sad angle. I adjusted the shadows and had her face hidden from the photo to give the subject a sad mood. There also wasn’t a lot of color throughout the picture to go along with the mood. I knew I wanted to use leading lines with the brick wall but then I found the bench that gave more leading lines that helped the photo.

My greatest success in photo class was learning how to be creative using a limited resource. Throughout the year we were taught a lot on how to become more creative and think like a real photographer. Some of the limitations that I used were using a Q-tip, CD, and certain objects throughout the class. These projects all gave me more of a creative mind and a better thinking process for my personal projects. I used CD reflections for my project to create color that would stand out. I had a lot of fun doing limitations because it gave me a challenge and expanded my thinking.

If I were to take Photo 1 and 2 again I would ask my first Photo 1 teacher if we could edit our photos so that throughout the year I could gradually become better at photoshop and know a lot more about it. I feel like with the time I had learning photoshop I grew to a better understanding and had a lot of fun. I would also of not deleted my photos from my old class because I could’ve compared my current ones to the old ones that I used to have. I wish I had the same creative mind as I do now then when I started.

In Photo class I learned how to have a more creative mind and thinking process. This can apply in my life through future schooling in college and to my future jobs. Having a creative mind will make me stand out more than other people applying for a job that I want. It can help me come up with great ideas for my room or future house. In jobs it's important to have a creative mind to get tasks done to the best of my ability. I also learned what colors go together and for what reasons. This can help me for if I decide to go into marketing or business.

"Massage" is thought to originate from the Arabic word "massa" that way to feel or deal with or from the French word "massage" which means creating massage by working. What's more, consistently, individuals in all pieces of the world have delighted in the mending and renewing intensity of touch and massage.
