I made this everyday card using the "kissing technique" on the heart stamps. It also features an alcohol ink background. I've described my process in more detail on my blog Gaal Creative.
Materials used:
* Apple Blossom Studio Loop-de-Loo journal block stamp (search for "loop-de-loo" on linked page)
* Clearsnap/ColorBox Cat's Eye pigment ink - fresh green
* Hero Arts LL077-Watercolor Hearts set of 3 wood stamps
* piece of plastic to recycle
* Ranger Alcohol Inks - butterscotch, lettuce, and stream
* Rubber Stampede (Delta Creative) 3024G-Crackled Background (pg. 10)
* Sharpie ultra fine point permanent marker - black
* Tsukineko Staz-on solvent ink
* white cardstock

Josh's Photoshop Technique:
I have played with photoshop for years, but I would by no means reference myself as any sort of expert. I do however have a habitual editing process that I have formulated with experience. Editing is subjective, meaning it is the perspective of the editor to create the image he/she desires. The following is a step by step list (in order) of how "I" tamper with my images. For most purposes I shoot in JPEG; RAW if I know its gonna be seriously edited because you have more "hidden data" or usable leeway to change the image with less distortion. Most of these tools can be found under Image>Adjustments, or Filter tabs.
1. Auto Contrast. - Usually always makes a wonderful difference.
2. Shadow/Highlight - Dont go high on the Highlights (1-5), Shadows I bump up a little more depending how well the picture takes it (2-20).
3. Exposure - I will brighten my images almost always (<+.2), then move the Gamma Correction to around 0.95. Gamma decrease will darken the image slightly but it seems to give a effect of clarity.
4. Noise Reduction - Under the Filter section, Turn the improve Sharpness to zero.
5. Smart Sharpen - This can do wonders IF you don't over do it. Radius 0.3, Remove: Gaussian blur, and I usually set the Amount to where I don't see distortion (~200).
6. Match Color - Luminance <+10, Color Intensity depends, most pictures don't need more than 106-110. I find the Match color tool much more efficient than color saturation which seems to blotch the colors way too much.
The Picture above is an example of an easy 3 minutes of work (Left: Camera shot, Right: Edited). Keep your adjustments subtle, if it looks bad in Photoshop, it will STILL look bad after you save it.....>_<
This animal was in Las Vegas, NV. Not sure what it is, but I called it a "Churkey" because it looks like a chicken and a turkey.

This set of photos was taken using the Olympus high pro capture mode. The idea was to capture the insect when it was taking flight. Sometimes it worked well other times not so much. You must cull a large number of photos to get the keepers.

Looking super cool, clean 'n crisp with its debut white version and now looking super classy with its brand new recolour is the gorgeous Matchbox 1963 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL. A good example of an exposing to-the-right (ETTR) technique by accident. Lizard was initially blown out and overexposed, but after dropping 2 stops in lightroom and a little tone curve work it cleaned up quite nicely.
I definitely find that if im post processing a RAW, images that were exposed on the bright side allow exposure reduction that reveals a wider dynamic range than shooting at +-0 EV on the money to get a good JPEG exposure on the camera LCD screen. At least this is how my 60D behaves in my experience.
Technique took a pic first of a blouse with flowers on and took the shot out of focus, for the second shot got a bland white sky, so wont show through very well so yes use two graduated filters, Pink and tobacco,

WEST YELLOWSTONE, MT -- Snow surveyors with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and other cooperating agencies learn snow sampling techniques, cold weather survival, avalanche and snow mobile skills during USDA's annual Westwide Snow Survey Training, March 11-16, 2018.
The course is offered to snow surveyors who collect snowpack data at hundreds of sites across 12 Western states, including Alaska. As part of its Snow Survey and Water Supply Forecasting program, NRCS operates and maintains an extensive network of automated snow telemetry (SNOTEL) sites and manual snow courses throughout the West. The data collected at those sites are used by the NRCS National Water and Climate Center (NWCC) to generate a variety of forecasting products—including detailed streamflow forecasts for the spring and summer.
Because the vast majority of the water supply in the West comes from snowmelt, these forecasts are critical in helping agricultural producers and communities plan ahead and make informed decisions related to their spring and summer water supply. While the forecasts are primarily produced for agricultural use to help farmers, ranchers and irrigators plan their water use, a variety of other stakeholders rely on these forecasts for operating hydropower generation, reservoir management, fish habitats, and outdoor recreation.
