The editing techniques I used in this photo were the cropping tool to cut down the image to create a center of emphasis. I also cropped the image of the skyline to adjust it to fit in the woman’s head. I adjusted the color of the faded skyline to complement the whole picture. I also manipulated the opacity to make the image look as if the image was in her head. The mood I intended for the project was gentle longing or sadness with the black and white colors and the position of the head of the picture I picked out. The theme I intended was dream-like theme with the picture looking as if it is in her head. I used both layers to create the illusion of the image of the skyline in the woman’s head and to create a composite image by manipulating the layers. I chose this project as an example of my digital photography and graphic design skills because I wanted to make an image based on my interests and also work with layers in a different way.
