SR-30 Spectre

Spyrius ground assault vehicle with jet engines that allow it to reach supersonic speeds. It has 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steering, V6 engine and dual-sided suspension on both the top and bottom. Inspired by the racing games Grip and Rollcage, it can flip over and drive upside down on a tunnel ceiling.

Decided to try to see if the lights in the kitchen could substitute for daylight in a pinch - results are not great but I think I finally have a cheap idea of how I can muzzle my flash for future pictures.

Coccinella septempunctata. A voracious predator that may eat as many as five thousand aphids, hemiptera, and bionicle mask bugs in its brief three- to six-week lifespan. Or until I take it apart. Bold red and black markings warn larger creatures that ABS tastes awful and is hard to chew.

With all those studs, perhaps this one is more "model team" or "creator" than "technic"? It's technic on the inside though. Simple functions. The legs are driven by the black twelve-tooth bevel gear. And the wings, once deployed, flap together from the dark bley eight-tooth gear.

The big 3,000 piece UCS version with motorized legs, elytra, and wings is still under development…

@junchen.meng has built my Ford F100 and added custom rims with chrome all over!! It was quite challenging to design the wheel arches over the wheeels with a functional turning radius this truck drives fast with 2 buggy motors 😤 have a haunted start to your weekend everyone ! #lego #technic #scalemodel

Built in 1906 by the Skagen association of craftsmen based on plans drafted by architect Ulrik Plesner (1861-1933). Whereas the main occupation in the town was fishing, there was also a need for talented craftsmen, especially during the period of economic growth around 1900.

The underlying technic frame (with construction exoskeleton of course). This is from quite early on before the East Tower was even started or the bridge facing added. I ended up removing the grey panels underneath when I made the bridge white, but the frame remains.

Today, the International Space Station became a testbed for technologies that will allow astronauts to control rovers on planets as they orbit above. The experiment allows astronauts to feel the force through a connected joystick that transmits feedback across great distances.

In Europe’s Columbus laboratory, ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet set up a joystick that was linked to its twin at ESA’s technical heart in the Netherlands. Each joystick moves the other and accurately conveys force, allowing their operators to ‘shake hands’ and feel each other’s push and pull.

Thomas and ESA’s Thomas Krüger proved the system was ready by moving the joysticks and the astronaut commented “a firm handshake!” Thomas then spent over an hour ‘feeling’ different materials in the Netherlands through the joystick. He rated them on a scale of 1–10 to gather data on how astronauts can distinguish object stiffness remotely. This is important for more advanced remote robotic tasks in the future.

Controlling a rover on Mars is a real headache for mission controllers because commands take an average of 14 minutes to reach the Red Planet. Space exploration will most likely involve sending robotic explorers to ‘test the waters’ on uncharted planets before sending humans to land – and ESA is preparing for that future.

This Haptics-2 experiment falls under the Meteron project that is developing the tools to control robots on distant planets while astronauts orbit above. This includes developing a robust space-internet, designing the software to control the robots and developing the interface hardware.

If you can read the diagram you can see I intended this to be multi format. Once I started I decided to KISS and make it only 6x6 and 6x9, but that may not happen as I'm running out of room. I'll do the film advance next before deciding to add the 6x9. Even that may be difficult as it involves changing the focal length and making the front/back cover removable.

The sixth image in a series...this one inspired by one of my all-time favorite episodes of I Love Lucy--the one where Lucy and Ethel get jobs, most infamously in a candy factory. :)

Here is a render of Technic set 8051 built on Mecabricks by wlange. I only used the Mecabricks script without tweaks to set up the scene and I didn't spend more than 5 minutes in Blender before hitting the Render Button.

Lighting has been made using the Pro-Lighting studio addon from Blenderguru.

Modified crane with three (instead of two) upper sections, Pneumatic (V2), for Lego 8258.

A friend of mine, who is an eager knitter, found a picture of one of these and asked if I could make one. Of course I couldn't - I'm bordeline idiot when it comes to mechanics. But I could find the right parts for my brother, and he made one in no time. So if your knittingwool is a mess Lego can solve your problem :)

I'm selling out!

After weeks, if not months of work I've got the instructions for the black Tumbly ready.

This time, I'm hoping to get something in return for all that work.

If you want the instructions, Paypal an amount you deem suitable to mahjqa [a] gmail [.] com . Minimum is €5 / $6 , otherwise Paypal will eat most of it.

The higher this amount is, the sooner I'll get around to mailing you the instructions.

Some things to keep in mind:

-The instructions you receive are not to be shared with anyone else

-You'll receive a .zip file with 140 or so JPEG images.

-Embedded on there, in various subtle and unsubtle ways, is your name. So should they leak, I'll know who did it. In this case, I'll reserve the right to slap you in the face.

-This clever anti-piracy scheme may not be foolproof, and eventually the instructions will find their way online. There is nothing I can do about that.

-In fact, eventually (months from now) I'm planning to put these online myself.

-So what you're paying for is to get these before anyone else does. And to support and encourage me to build more shiny things.

-No refunds for any reason.

The main fighting vehicle of many militias and rebel movements across the world. Especially in Africa where Diamond Creek employs them as their main workhorse. Cheap, available in great numbers, and easily modified these trucks, and their crews, are easily replaced in the event of failure and destruction.

This thing has been sitting around for far too long, and has gone through numerous changes over it's life time. It is primarily based on KingBrick's Light Security Vehicle as well as a few others. These pictures are already outdated as I've changed a few things such as raising the suspension a plate. I'll have to post more pictures or a scene with the newer version in it soon. Enjoy.

Thanks for visit, comments and awards

Technically there should be a narthex or something jutting out from the back - it'd be where the choir sits - but my town plan just didn't have room for it. It's not like anyone will notice as the building faces the audience when displayed anyway.

The Living Fortress: Tempest

Fun Facts:

- The MOC weights over 10 lbs (4.536 kg)

- Tempest is over 28 in (71.12 cm) tall from the top of the head

- This creation took about one year to plan, construct, and finalize

- Tempest was featured on LEGO’s Instagram story for 24 hours on August 5th, 2017

- The internal skeleton in 100% Technic and the exterior is system, zero Bionicle parts used

- The MOC features light up eyes, shoulders, and abdomen using 3rd party lights

- Tempest used zero ratchets joints for movement, exclusively using ball joints or gearing for smoother movement. Most joints require a gear to be turned for the joint to swivel.

- This is the 3rd version of the character, the 1st being an unfinished WIP that was made in 2012 and the 2nd was a fully Technic/Bionicle build from 2013.

This MOC was designed to have a full transformation into a spaceship, while incomplete, there are some concept pictures of what the final product would have looked like.

Bio:

A large mecha that is piloted and powered by multiple team members that are in the fight against Kairos. Constructed for land and space travel, specialized in hand-to-hand combat. It houses large racks of hidden missiles that can be deployed at will. After learning that a greater threat was found among the stars, this large craft was constructed by most inhabitants of the planet in an effort to free themselves from the constructed world Kairos had created.

Tempest is powered by Circuit, who uses her near endless amount of electrical energy to keep the lights on. Dominion uses his magnetism powers to help the servos move more efficiently during combat. Active patience and repairs are monitored by CPU, Factorie, and Lugnut of the biker gang. Piloting the mecha is Guradian in his origin form, possessing the central core of the Tempest and using it as his body.

While very large an imposing, the heroes are unaware if this will be enough to fight off against the being of time. Until then, they travel through space looking for their fight.

OK, technically it was not on the high seas, but in U.S. territorial waters just off the Santa Bárbara pier... A swimming swashbuckler seized one of the paddleboards and, in spite of the brave defense put up by the captain, took control of the vessel...

Not sure if he held the captain for ransom.

Bigger crane for (Lego Technic) 8258; 3 instead of two upper sections, pneumatics (v2) including compressor.
